Re: CAPsMAN Load Balancing?

I tried load-balancing-group feature. It work, but I meet next situation. When AP located not just in same place, some stations unable to connect to one AP because of radio conditions ant to other because of load balancing. Would be good idea, if same client bounce repeating on load balancing some ...

Re: 802.11r/k, Band Steering

What's even worse is not a single Mikrotik device have official WIFI certification . Just go to https://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder-results?sort_by=default&sort_order=desc and see for yourself. Feel free to search for other vendors. All big names are there. Mikrotik is not. It's easy to dismis...

Re: Wi-Fi Roaming for the RB4011 Series

Currently we have to inform customers (each typically having anything between 100-1000 access points) who are subject to regulatory requirements to deploy Cisco infrastructure because of 802.11 r/k/w support. No, really? You don't say: "Buy Cisco instead of MikroTik because of missing 802.11 r...

Re: Wi-Fi Roaming for the RB4011 Series

p.s. I know the discussion in that topic highlights missing features such a 802.11r and 802.11k support and although they might provide some form of benefit, in my home situation with between 20 to 50 devices I don't seem to miss it much. I would say the same, at home I don't need 802.11r / 802.11k...

Re: 802.11r/k, Band Steering

It would be awesome to know the status of 802.11k/r/v/w and MU-MIMO support. We're using only Cisco equipment at the office and only recommend Cisco to our customers as the embedded linux clients we're manufacturing support 802.11k/r/w. It's impossible to recommend MikroTik infrastructure to our cus...

Re: RB4011 Metal temperature is really hot

Hi team, I was tasked to evaluate the RB4011 before investing in more units. This unit feels warm to the touch, even at zero load/shutdown. Our unit is running RouterOS/firmware 6.43.14 1) we performed a System > Reset Configuration 2) no clients connected with LAN or WLAN 3) the unit was tested sit...

Re: v6.38.7 [bugfix] is released!

Great to see a change log for the RouterOS versions :) Any chance the RouterBoot changelog wiki page could also be updated? Latest version is "What's new in 3.33" but I assume we've gone past that now. At least we have a few hap ac lite units reporting "Firmware: 3.36" and that's...

Re: v6.32.4 [bugfix] is released!

Short version: a system reset-config results in in zero configuration Long version: Hi team, I've used ROS v6.32.3 for a while now, and every time I've reset a device to factory settings I've been able to associate to the open WLAN MikroTik SSID. After upgrading from v6.32.3 > v6.32.4 I would say t...

Re: New SXT AC Lite

Interesting trick: I bumped the license up to level 4 and I now have a 2 chain 5 GHz ac AP AND a 1 chain 2 GHz AP that can serve MULTIPLE clients! Away went the limit of only one client connected to the 2 GHz interface!!! Hey jnygard , thanks for the tip!! I must have missed this product. Shame it'...

Re: New Ethernet port flap issue enquiery, PLS JOIN!

I have seen the same port flapping issue on several mAP devices between: - mAP (ROS fw 6.20) <> Lenovo laptop (auto speed negotiation) - mAP (ROS fw 6.20) <> RB2011UAS-2HnD (ROS fw 6.15, 6.20) - mAP (ROS fw 6.20) <> RB751G-2HnD (ROS fw 6.15, 6.20) Removing ETH cable and reinserting it was a workarou...

Hi guys, just to give my take on this. The results below come from 3 tests using speedtest.net and taking average.
