Bug: No such item(4) or object doesn't exist (4)

Hi, We found a bug in recent RouterOS versions (> 6.38) where sometimes disabled objects are not found by Winbox or Scripts. As you can see in the attached print, sometimes when you try to enable a disabled tunnel you get a "object doesn't exist" message. After two or three attemps it's su...

Re: CAPsMAN unable to manage its own Wireless interface

You don't seem to have a discovery interface selected, probably because you are trying a layer3 connection. I use: /interface wireless cap set discovery-interfaces=bridge1 enabled=yes interfaces=wlan1 In your case it is probably bridge-local, and remove the capsman IP, then it will use L2 to find t...

Re: CAPsMAN unable to manage its own Wireless interface

you can add the log=yes option for the drop rules to see if the CAP connections are dropped by the firewall or not. I will add the logging, but my only drop rules are based on WAN interfaces. As you can see on the attached image, the connection is estabilished, but for some reason it's not provisio...

Re: CAPsMAN unable to manage its own Wireless interface

How do you have them provisioned? Based on mac or Default 00.00.00.00.00.00? And have you tried to reboot after changing setting? Also might want to move firewall to the top of the list. David Huizenga Provisioned with detault 00:00:00:00:00:00 mac address. Remember: I have two other RB951Ui on the...

Yes, this seems to be a bug in Mikrotik, the script runs well on scheduler but not thru the Run Script button

Re: packet loss during load

which ports handle the load?

If you are using ports 12 or 13 I would recommend switching to other ports, since those are connected thru a PCI-e chip that has low cpu priority.

Re: v6.4 released

@rajo,

Thousands already reported this bug but Mikrotik insist in adding features instead resolving basic bugs like this.

It seems they only will listen to the community and bug reports when they start to lose customers

IPSec Road Warrior not working

I'm trying to set up a basic IPSec VPN between 2 metarouters and it does not work with MODE-CFG/XAUTH/Generate Policy (Road Warrior setup with Mode Conf) I saw some reports of this problem on the forum. Did anyone experience the same problem? I followed the steps described on http://wiki.mikrotik.co...

Using XAuth and mode-cfg for a Site-to-Site IPSec tunnel

I was wondering if is it possible to use the mode-cfg + xauth for a site-to-site tunnel when only Dynamic IP is available at the remote site? I know that it is possible to achieve such results using lots of scripts to update IPs, but using mode-cfg would make things much more simple. Did anyone try ...

Re: pptp to domain name instead of IP?

Mikrotik lives in a world where everybody has static IP addresses

Use this script until they realize there are plenty of use for hostname on remote peers

Folks, Since RouterOS doesn't allow specifying a hostname for remote peers on VPN connections, I've made a single script that can be used for almost any type of VPN (tested with L2TP, PPTP and OVPN) Suggestions are welcome #****************************************************************************...

Re: v6.0 released

In my configuration, with RouterOS v6 ipsec will not work if the first request will be made from RB1100AHx2 to any Mips router with v6, also it will not work from RB1000 to RB1100AHx2. But if the request is coming from a mips device, the RB1100AHx2 will accept it and IPSec will work. The upgrade fi...

It is planned, but I cannot give you any timeframes.
Maybe after fixing the issues with L2TP (multi wan support) and OVPN (UDP + LZO) in IPv4?

+1 for this problem, Samsung Galaxy S2 (I have two devices, problem happens with both)

It is really annoying and it is impossible to keep the wifi while device is in idle mode, and it EAT all my mobile data plan.

Was on 5.2x, upgraded to 6rc7, same problem

How to issue a HTTP POST request?

Any workaround for the fetch command not supportingn the HTTP METHOD?

I would like to reset my ADSL modem, but I have two choices

1) Issue a HTTP POST request
2) Issua a TELNET command

Both ways seems impossible using Mikrotik scripts. Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks

Dynamic DNS: One script to rule them all

Hi, I see many scripts for different providers or situations. This script is aimed to work as many situations and providers as possible, no matter if you are behind a NAT or have a public IP. As a plus, you get a "Force update every X days" feature. If you think this script is useful, I ca...
