Re: v6.4 released

With a company policy in place that says all networking devices must at all times have the latest firmware/OS releases, and with RouterOS' supposedly stable releases causing all kinds of havoc, my job is on the line if a router should misbehave. Sorry to be rude, but that is a very stupid policy. W...

Re: v6.4 released

*Gets up on a soapbox.* I feel that the ROS is getting into a situation where outstanding bugs and issues are not being fixed, and new features that have even more bugs are being added to the package, compounding the situation to where it is unacceptable. Take a little advice: Set up a triage on a w...

Mikrotik's mail server on the blink?

I just sent two RMA/Exchange requests from two separate email accounts, flagging both delivery success and receipt acknowledgement. I really would like to get this RB replaced soonest.

Re: v6.2 released

OK, we're back to a stable (no crashes) release, mine has not crashed after 24 hours running on a production router.

Now you guys just need to concentrate on getting the IPsec fixed up.

Oh, BTW, the LED's are working now!

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

Kick a ticket open, start a paper trail, that's the only way you can spur them to even look into the issue. Hello,MikroTik team! It will be great,if you can fix problem with (3g/4g) ppp disconnection, and add ndis driver for popular 4g modems. PPP disconnects after 1 minute or 40 minutes, and then try...

Stick with what works now or roll back to 5.25. 6.X has major issues atm.

Re: cache hard disk in 750

i won't to add premry hard disk in mikrotik 750 R/B is it possible to add cache hard disk in that device? Only if there is a USB port. I'm pretty sure that the 750 doesn't have a USB port, so you cannot add a hard drive. I believe anispk is referring to the 750UP model and yes it does. My beef is w...

Re: RB 1200 stops responding

What power supply do you use? How many amps?
RB1200's have an internal power supply, using a standard PC cable to provide household power to it.

The temps are a concern, I agree. So a redesign of his network to get his router to a cooler location would be in order.

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

There is more to this than just IPSec issues. The router, running 6.1, was very sluggish in response to commands, as if it was stuck in a loop, the terminal window taking upwards to 30 seconds to get to a command prompt in comparison to the normal 3-5 seconds. Package rolled back to 5.25 immediately...

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

My RB750UP keeps blowing its little mind, randomly rebooting. "System, error, Critical - router was rebooted without proper shutdown by watchdog timer" It's operating in stock NAS mode, no modifications to system outside of shutting down all IP services, save for winbox, API-SSL and SSH. I...

RB750UP refuses to accept DHCP client from cable modem.

I've been trying for a couple of days now to link up my RB750UP with a Motorola SurfBoard cable modem provided to me by TWC. The model will link up and assign IP addresses to my other equipment after power cycling it, but oddly enough my RB refuses to (or the cable modem is) receive an IP for DHCP c...

Re: RB SXT losing configuration on each reboot

We use weather boxes to house our equipment and seal around the joints using rubber gaskets and silicon joint sealer used on homes. I did research the wiki and came up with some techniques and maybe some options to coat your boards with. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conformal_coating I would also su...
