Re: Using RouterOS to QoS your network - 2020 Edition

I found an old thread (https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=113308) that talks about using QoS with FastTrack enabled. That got me interested. After reading the thread and also reviewing packet flow documentation, I came to realize I can successfully use this approach with fq_codel. /queue ty...

Re: Using RouterOS to prioritize (Qos) traffic for a Class C

Hello everyone. I've tested and updated the script . It now works correctly on RouterOS 6.1. Note that ether1 is WAN and ether2 is LAN. Adjust those as necessary for your environment. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to mark big downloads over HTTP traffic. Currently, the script mark...

Zebra in Mikrotik

Hi everyone, I just remember that about 10 years ago, in Mikrotik versions 2.x there was a way to login into Mikrotik's Zebra by doing this: *************************** system telnet 127.0.0.1 2604 password: zebra ena *************************** Of course this doesn't work anymore in current v6.x. Continuing connection...

Hello, I have a strange issue... maybe someone had it in the past and knows how to fix it... I start a connection, e.g. download, iptv view etc. and I suddenly close it, just close the window, I see that the connection still persists and "downloading" is ongoing. Is there anything in the m...

Re: v6.13 released!

6.13 BAD in my case! firewall rules that are written for an inactive L2TP are not active - red, which is normal. But once L2TP became connected the firewall rule isn't activated, so it remains red and logs are filled with input errors on the l2tp interface. If I recreate the same rule, the old one b...

Does anyone know why?

P.S. Not sure if it's from v6.12 or before, since I upgraded from v6.0...

Is it working?

Thanks,

Re: v6.2 released

Hi guys,

In v6.1 the following IPSEC problem existed:
Windows 7 <- L2TP/IPSEC -> Mikrotik 6.1 stopped working.
Passing over L2TP and when at IPSEC it compains in logging about payload and triming.

Was this fixed?

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

Hi,

Just to keep you informed...

Downgraded back to v6.0rc14.
Upgraded firmware to v3.07
Upgraded to v6.0
Keeping firmware at v3.07 (even if it asks to upgrade to v3.02 (not sure what kind of upgrade is this)) :)

L2TP/IPSEC works fine now.
