Re: v7.14 [stable] is released!

Which version you had on CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe, before you did update to 7.14 ?
It was 7.13 on mine (with 7.8 firmware).
Needed a reset to defaults to get it to work again.

Re: v7.14 [stable] is released!

Look out when upgrading a CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe. I've got one here that is gone into a reboot loop, even after powering down and up again. It can be bad luck, but I'm not going to upgrade the rest of them until I know how to get it running again. Update: I got the board working again after resetting i...

Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

Wait what? wAP ac is mipsbe with AR9300, but the wifi-qcom-package works on it?
That's pretty cool!
Sorry to burst your bubble but this is about wAP AC arm version...

Ha I thought so...
mantbox is ARM though, that might work

Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

I've just experimented with my wAP ac (RBwAPG-5HacD2HnD) - it's winter, not a mission critical, because nobody is really spending time outside now. I upgraded to 7.12 and then to 7.13beta2, uninstalled old wireless package and installed the new wifi-qcom-ac package. And, after a bit of setup, it wo...

Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

*) defconf - use device factory preset credentials when using CAPs mode; This will make my life miserable :( Nothing changes in your workflow. When booting into CAP mode with the button, you don't need to connect to the CAP device. It gets all of it's wireless config from CAPsMAN. That is the whole...

Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

OMG I just replaced all my accesspoints (cap ac and cap ac xl) by cap ax... just to get roaming :) Anyway, this is great news!!! Now I can re-use the old caps. I see something in the changelog that makes me unhappy though: *) defconf - use device factory preset credentials when using CAPs mode; This...

Re: Apple CNA doesn't show up

I can confirm that this is the solution for the latest Apple device login problems.
Just add the api.json (in my case from ros 7.6) to the root of your (custom) hotspot folder.

Re: NTP stuck on Waiting....

In addition to my previous post, now that the ntp server has sync status, it took a while for the 6.x clients to sync to it. The 7.6 clients however, still don't sync... Log says: No survivors for clock sync So at least it get's something back from the ntp server now. Maybe it will take some time (l...

Re: NTP stuck on Waiting....

For me it works OK. The only thing I noticed is that after a v6->v7 upgrade the router time is set to 1-1-1970 00:00 (BUG!) and then the NTP client does not synchronize because of too large time difference. After setting it manually to nearly correct time, it syncs. But it seems you already covered...

Re: NTP stuck on Waiting....

This is very easy to recreate. I have a ccr2004-16g-2s+, upgraded to 7.6, then reset config to make sure it is empty. I enable cloud time sync to set the clock. Then enable the ntp server with default settings (manycast, vrf=main, authkey=none). On the network I hand out the IP of this router as the...

Re: MikroTik Devices Controller

My ideas about a controller would be something like this, I would start using it right away! - Controller server would be a separate package installed on a router - Controller client would be part of standard routeros package On the server I would want to create profiles, like 'accesspoint', 'client...

Re: v7.1rc3 adds Docker (TM) compatible container support

Thanks for this awesome feature! I'm running a domoticz container on a rb5009, works great. It would be nice if you could add devices support, so I can connect USB or serial devices (like kwh meters). The docker command line is: docker run -d \ -p 8080:8080 \ -p 8443:443 \ -v <path for config files>...

Re: ZeroTier added to RouterOS v7rc2

This looks very promising!

How can I add the zerotier interface to a bridge?
If not possible now, will this be possible in the future?

edit:
nevermind, I just added it to a bridge via terminal :)
cool!!!

Re: v7.1beta3 [development] is released!

Testing wifiwave2 on hAP ac3: Very interesting to see the new way of configuring wifi interfaces. It worked for a few hours, speed was really good, better than regular wifi package. Then it started rebooting, kernel errors during boot, reboot, reboot etc Had to reset the config to get it up and runn...

Re: Advisory: Vulnerability exploiting the Winbox port

My 2ct on the best way: Drop all input/output traffic on public interfaces (not only internet, treat your customers network as public too!) Connect all routers to a management network (physical or VPN) Use L2TP/IPSEC VPN to connect to the management network On the VPN router, drop all input/output o...

Re: Advisory: Vulnerability exploiting the Winbox port

I'm glad to see this got fixed so soon!
Many thanks to the team who works on this (and lost a lot of sleep probably)!

Attacks seem to be rather specific though, haven't seen the mentioned log entries on my dutch and czech routers.

Re: BIG BUG- Unicast key exchange timeout

On a RB411 with 6.34.2 I get this error (unicast key exchange timeout) with a Microsoft Lumia 650 and a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. This started happening after I switched to the wireless-cm2 package and after a big Windows 10 update. So it's unclear if this has to do with RouterOS or with Windows 10. ...
