Re: v7.5 [stable] is released!

Similar issue on RB4011 - SFP+ 10G Copper.. had to disable/enable/change auto to hard code and back again a few times then it would work fine. (did try cold reboot as you did) Sorry, but I can´t agree. My RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD is connected via SFP+ with my CRS326-24S+2Q+ with an MikroTik DAC-Cable an...

Re: v7.5 [stable] is released!

Updated to 7.5 stable and have issue with sfp+. Every time I software reboot RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD, I keep getting "sfpplus1 fcs error on link" on sfpplus1 of CCR1016-12S-1S+. Winbox is connected to CCR1016-12S-1S+ as its the main router that everything connects to. The way to fix RB4011iGS+...

Re: ipv4 LAN activity on WAN port w/o NAT on sniffer??

rplant, I think your right that even w/o the NAT the default ip route links all 0.0.0.0/0 packets to go somewhere, resulting in sfp1 activity. So I finally figured it out. Dam Mikrotik, that was a brain twister. After tinkering with the firewall filter, nat, mangle, raw to no avail. Either everythin...

Re: 7.2rc4 Wifiwave2 Access List multiple rules on interface not working

Yeah, wifiwave2 is very different and needs a different approach. I too thought it was broken because there is no order any more, but its not broken and there is an explanation in the help docs, but its still just confusing. I will give you an example here of it working on my RB4011. I'm not sure if...

Re: ipv4 LAN activity on WAN port w/o NAT on sniffer??

ether1 port and sfp1 port should be isolated since they are not bridged, so there should not be any 10.1.10.0/24 seen on sfp1. After adding NAT the sfp1 source must have the /ip dhcp-client address (in my case 192.168.0.X), and destination is the ping address 142.251.41.4. See enclosed image of what...

ipv4 LAN activity on WAN port w/o NAT on sniffer??

Please see enclosed image for more details. Can anyone explain why I'm seeing ipv4 LAN port activity on the WAN port in the Packet Sniffer with no NAT, and Interface is constantly incrementing byte/packet counter on the sfp1 tx direction? Please ignore the sfp1 rx activity, that's just unrelated act...

Has anyone figured out how to use the wifiwave2 ACCESS LIST to whitelist mac addresses that I want to allow entry? What I've tried with partial success is in the attached picture. Mac Address Mask is weird and it looks like a mask of "0" bit is to ignore mac bit, and "1" bit is n...

Re: v7.1beta3 [development] is released!

Got a question regarding 2.4GHz wireless interface on the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD and Wave2. Correct me if I got this wrong, is the issue with 2.4GHz not working because it’s shared with the 4 antennas that’s used by the 5GHz and not separate? If so, I’m not sure if this will ever work unless you separa...

Re: v6.48beta [testing] is released!

Ran into a problem with beta48 and SFP modules on CCR1016-12S-1S+. I'm using Intel modules that worked fine until beta48. Some reported data in the SFP fields is wrong like voltage and temperature, but this didn't cause any issues until beta48, and now they are randomly shutting off every few minute...

6.45beta6 kills SPF+ port in RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN. I'm using the Maxxwave MW-SX+MM-US in the SFP+ port of the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN. Great article and pics!

I need to do the same. The TG.35.8113 (big flat antenna) and MB.200.C (antenna mount) would be best for my application. I live in the US and I'm having trouble finding them online, can you provide the info where you bought them from. Thanks!

I'd prefer separate for the reasons of separating slow devices from fast devices. As you know, slow devices can slow down the whole SSID for everyone.

6.30rc17 5GHz AC MAC Addr change kills wifi card

Anyone else get this problem. If I leave the MAC Address alone, the card continues to work. If I change the MAC in any way, even just the last digit and apply, it dies. Changing it back, and apply, alive again. This worked fine in 6.30rc11, before I upgraded to 6.30rc17.
