Re: MPLS Max Speed

In fact this is the point
Mixing MPLS and other services
My point of view is : one router for MPLS one router for firewalling
do not mix these type of services
Mikrotik is cheap and if you worry about space you get setup one on front and on the back of the rack

Hello So, I can't remember what prompted me to test this but I came across an interesting issue. we are pretty much taught that when you setup an OSPF instance you should set the router ID to an ip that exist on a loopback interface (in Mtik, that means using a bridge). You can mix L2 and L3 at the same time and with VPLS vlan does not go down if one site is dead
BGP VPLS protects you also from MAC broadcast with usage of horizon feature
when you use BGP VPLS you will have VPLS link from all routers to all routers in the same VPLS (full mesh)

Re: eopi works, vpls dont

1) ldp must be enabled on all router you are going through 2) check interface mtu for mpls and vpls 3) it is better to filter ldp for accept and advertise to only loopback address of the router configured to ldp 4) do not forget to advertise loopback through ospf 5) use loopback to setup vpls tunnel...

Re: Strange bonding issue

when working on port channel on cisco side you MUST apply commands to the port channel also so you nedd to enforce speed also on port channel all commands MUST be in the Gig and the port channel more over there is a lot of problems regarding cisco switch and RB1xxx ports most of the time you have to...

Re: Strange bonding issue

"please add"

"switchport nonegotiate" to all interface and also to port-channel on cisco

do "shut" "no shu"t off port-channel on cisco

also ensure that duplex is full because you can experience problems between cisco and mikrotik on Gbps ports

Re: Strange bonding issue

why do you have

set bond1 disable=yes

in your bonding device add

mii type 1
mii interval 100 ms

can you add a result from the cisco with command
"show lacp neighbor"
and
"show lacp internal"

Re: Bonding two ADSL lines

Hi

2 options if you need real full aggregate on packets

1) MLPPP on LNS but need Cisco because not implemented in Mikrotik
2) Bonding with EoIP which need a Mikrotik to aggregate behind LNS

Re: OSPF failover between 2 site-to-site links

you might not need EOIP
try using PointToPoint in ospf configuration and ensure MTU is the same on both sides of the mpls network
even if EOIP works it is better not using it because of MTU overhead

Re: Advise on x86 hardware for bgp

The problem with 1100AH2 (I have two running in my premises) is no SFP .. Regarding the throughput; I know AH2 has enough power. Regards Antonio you can use a switch like Cisco 2960G for SFP and setup VLAN to the AHx2 and the provider so no need of SFP on the routers for space in rack put both AHx2...

Re: bgp

Hello

for agoing traffic ( from you to ISP ) just set higher local-preference for incoming BGP routes

for incoming traffic ( from ISP to you ) just add AS prepend on second ISP

be aware that you will not be able to enforce all incoming traffic from ISP1 because of the way BGP works

Re: BGP and routing filter improvement suggestions

In the peers remote address, simply put an IPv6 address instead of an IPv4 one , then click on the "Advanced" tab and make sure only IPv6 is ticked.
Oups sorry did not tried this
works well
Thanks

to nsure traffic flowing in only from one ISP you must stop announcing prefix on others ISP but you will lost redundancy may be what you can do is trying to use communities from Telia and GBLX to make them change their own MED or LOCAL-PREF to your prefix more info at http://onesc.net/communities/as...

you cannot make all trafic come from one ISP with BGP even with PREPEND i am wondering if you are not speaking allso for outbound trafic because in your picture we can see same metric and local-pref ( 0 and 70 ) so you must also modify local-pref to send traffic through correct ISP ( highest number ...

Please do not use VRRP on cisco router 1 and 2 just configure ospf with ciso command "default-information originate always" this will inject a default route in ospf usable by all routers especially in the mikrotik one ( of course in each cisco router you have a default route to internet ) in mikroti...
