Re: New IP cloud is coming.

Actually this would put the mikrotik in the middleman role. It has to be considered as unsafe. I understand that some people do not care about it, but I rather build my own management network instead of rely on services that I cannot control and that can do whatever I do not know what above what the...

Re: Need a quick check on items to be ordered

Nothing against, I just warned you. Too many things mean too many points to configure something, to look at if whatever does not work, just useless complexity. Also buying a ccr for that use is really overkill, something like rb750gr3 wil be able to play its role even after your 4 ISPS start to prov...

Re: New IP cloud is coming.

Not to use ip cloud is much easier than using it. Own dns is reliable and stable working in comparison to mikrotik ip cloud service. The same applies to time server too. I wish ip cloud related settings were fully off by default. And any other even future calling home features also.

Too much devices to do simple and easy work. Especially from the wan speed point of view.

If you would like to have ovpn udp support, forget the mikrotik as endpoint. Ovpn implementation supports tcp only.

Guide: implement firewall rules for all 3 chains with connection tracking and final drop. Put all exclusions before. Exclude individually only those traffic types you really want to pass.

You can play with ttl, but they can also. You can register mac but they can copy it. You can install a tool on the workstations that can check the locally assigned ip against the natted ip and report the difference to your server that can initiate the cut off. In case the stations belong into manage...
