Re: Default password Frustration

New models come with default password which is on the cardboard box and also on the router itself. ALSO it is available from your distributor in a digital document / CSV. Newer batches have improved label print quality and do not have ambiguous characters (0/O etc) Imho, Why we need to depends on d...

TBH loosing 2AX wouldn't be disastrous as high speed devices will be connecting to 5GHz anyway.

Re: Topology for a better home networking and wifi roaming

You're thinking of the ax² and ax³, with their IPQ-PPE switch chips. The ax lite has a relative of the one in the hEX line, the MT7531, which according to the docs, "…are capable of using bridge VLAN filtering and hardware offloading at the same time…" yeah, you are right, the lite one ha...

Alternate plan on the hEX: a hAP ax lite with the radios turned off. Same cost and gives you the option of playing with multiple WiFi radios in a small apartment surrounded by a whole bunch of other radios so that you can see if I'm right. Bonus aside from fun science experiment at zero net cost: t...

No, it is an Annapurna Labs (Amazon) AL32400 clocked at 1.7Ghz. This is a 64bit ARM processor.

The same processor is used in the existing CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS as well.

Yeah, might be 802.11ay.
What else? Dual chain.

Yes make sense Wifi 802.11ay 60 GHz Dual chain but what really doesn't make sense is to put a wifi interface in a Core router that has 2xGiga port + 10G SFP+ ports and 2x 25G SFP+

@Aerowinder what happens when you put Pfsense directly to the ISP device it gets IP? Yes, works perfectly. so something that you are doing in Mikrotik device is you set up as bridge, 4011 will act as "transparent" try to do a factory reset without setting up default configurations.

You have a WiFi device that is being the caps man and WiFi
And you have another WiFi acting as cap only and on this scenario the slave are not being added to bridge

Thanks for the comments, checked the provided doc, couldn't see anything that I hadn't already done.

I'm not using separate VLANs, I just want the new SSID in the existing single VLAN set up.
If you don't want to use vlan what is the point to have multiple SSID?

Without an example we can not comment why you are not being able to import .rsc file. We recommend that you import file step-by-step if it is failing. Then you will see at which point configuration is not accepted and you can fix it or report a problem to support@mikrotik.com if there is one. Expor...

Change the service port can resolve the problem?
The problem with allow from is that not always we have static ip address
Suggestions could be that field accept dns names, or allow to read from addressing list

I think that safe mode need to be more like time based than session based
since some times you need to change remotely a config and that maybe will obvious close the session but not necessary it a mistake
so it better to setup a timer
