Option 82 without external DHCP server

Hello, We have been looking at ways to implement DHCP option 82. We would like to run our AP's and Client's in bridge mode to be able to serve a public IP to the end customer. Currently we run Ubiquiti radios for the AP and the CPE and Mikrotik for all the routing, auth and DHCP, with a NAT at the c...

Re: Site-to-Site IPSEC slow SQL

This is typical problem with SQL (and Oracle) accessed over VPN. It does not matter what VPN device you use - MikroTik or anything else. Even if you have high bandwidth. AFAIR the problem is high latency of single packets. Unfortunately there is no simple solution to this. For example: we use Remot...

Site-to-Site IPSEC slow SQL

Hello, I have followed this tutorial http://gregsowell.com/?p=787 to create an IPSEC tunnel between two locations. Each location is on its own subnet (192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24). I can ping remote hosts through the tunnel and even browse file shares remotely. SMB transfers work great can D/L...

I was wanting to know if there is any way via scripts or some other special way to append some characters to the path using Web Proxy in ROS. I see that you can match path patterns but just simply wanting to know if you can append anything to the original path. Example. http://www.google.com/search?...

DHCP Server - Any way to hand IP's out based on MAC address

Is there any way in RouterOS to give clients ip addresses based on their MAC address using wildcards. For example: Pool_1 - 10.1.1.0/24 Pool_2 - 10.254.254.0/24 00:01:02:**:**:** - from Pool_1 All others from Pool_2 I found a post from 2009 that mentioned it but at that time was not possible other t...

I see this asked about and requested many times in these forums. I am not sure why this could not be implemented in software. Is there some kind of software/hardware limitation that is keeping Mikrotik from building this functionality into their software? Really confused about this.

My RB433ah works as well as the RB333 it replaced. I power them with 15v maximum and 10.5v minimum. Doesn't require a diode. Just out of curiosity, why did you choose a 24v solar system over a 12v system? My thoughts exactally! We use 12v everywhere and a voltage stepper like this one (http://www.v...

Yes Hardware compression is handled by the card. We see a ton of benefits from using super A/G on our network. Not having it will turn us away.
