Connection Limit

Hello folks... I am currently using the following rules to limit outgoing connection from my customers to the internet, based on a port range... chain=int2ext action=drop connection-state=new dst-port=1026-1862 protocol=tcp connection-limit=3,32 chain=int2ext action=drop connection-state=new dst-por...

Re: Bridge problem upgrading from 2.9.50 to 3.4

Isn't IP FIREWALL just an option for me to set if I wanna filter something on the IP protocol (layer 3)? My filters are only in the layer 2, so I don't need that option set, as far as I understand...0 Anyway, it's fixed... I had to instal 3.4 and WIPE the configuration and redo it all over again... ...

Bridge problem upgrading from 2.9.50 to 3.4

I just tried to upgrade a rb150 board from 2.9.50 to the new version 3.4... The upgrade apparently worked fine, I could access the board and all it's configuration was there... The problem is that my bridge filter stopped working... I even tried to make a rule for logging any packet forwarded and it...

Re: PPPoE dynamic queues + different bandwidth IP range

Oops... I just solved my problem... Here's what I've done: This gives every connection a 2Mbit rate. add name="servers" kind=pcq pcq-rate=2097152 pcq-limit=50 pcq-classifier=src-address,dst-address,src-port,dst-port pcq-total-limit=2000 And on queue simple, I filter out what IPs will be affected by ...

Here's what I need: They still get their setting from the Radius, but I need they have a different bandwidth for my servers... So they can download emails, use IMAP, watch my streaming and stuff like ...

Bytes IN and OUT on a dynamic PPPOE interface

Hi there, I have this PPPoE Server where I need to know, via script, what is the current IN and OUT bytes on a dynamic PPPoE interface. When the user logs out, MT sends this information to my Radius on the account packet... Problem is, I actually need this info with the user logged in... I tried ton...

Re: P2P queue stops working after a few hours

that is because of encrypted p2p traffic Elaborate? I mean... I'm aware of encrypted traffic but it should recognize at least some traffic, I guess??? I have 800 simultaneous users on that server, I doubt they all have encryption enabled... The queue don't recognize any traffic at all after a while...

Re: P2P queue stops working after a few hours

First of all target-address is necessary for 'queue simple' entry (it will not work unless target-addres is not specified). interface should be used when one-way traffic limits are required for the configuration. Well... As I said: It IS working... The problem is that it stops recognizing p2p traff...

WDS working but not if I activate Nstreme

I configured a WDS on 2 MTs without Nstreme... It worked having both MTs in AP mode with WDS activated... But I would really want is to try out Nstreme (it's the reason why I bought the routeros in the first place)... When I activate Nstreme on this **WORKING** WDS it stops doing so... I read the ma...

Telling which ethernet a user is connected?

Say I have 2 pppoe servers on 2 ethernets... On winbox, I see the users sorted in a tree... Like this: <ether2> ---<pppoe-user1> ---<pppoe-user2> <ether3> ---<pppoe-user3> and so on... So, it's pretty easy to tell which ethernet they are connected to... But what I need is a command I can use that te...

PPPoE Issue (2.9.35)

I have a PPPoE server with about 700 simultaneous connections working fine on a MT 2.9.29... From time to time, I get some users that get stuck as connected and I can't remove them unless I reboot the whole server... I saw a fix to this issue on the version 2.9.35 so I updated... As soon MT restarts...

Yes... I'm aware of grep and that's what I'm using for now... But what eflanery said is true, a command inside MT would be alot more useful... And I would go a little more far than that... Not a grep, but something that would make the "ppp active print" list only what u ask so it wouldn't have all t...

Filtering a command output

Hello, I never tried MT scripting so I'm having a little trouble to make this work... Consider the command "ppp active print detail without-paging" ... Let's say I need to filter its output to only show me the lines where the usernames start with the letter "a"... How can I do that? Thanks in advance.

SSH output truncated

Hello, I'm having an odd problem trying to get the list of active pppoe users from a remote machine. When I run the command "ssh -l admin 192.168.255.3 ppp active print detail without-paging" the output gets truncated usually around the 87th user... Sometimes it even cuts part of the output like thi...
