Re: BFD + OSPF + CCR1036 Issue

BFD and CCR are something we are expecting since a lot of time ago. We are waiting for v7 since our network grow so much with multiple paths, three BGP full tables with route reflectors and moving more than 2 Gbps in the backbone. RouterBoards can't handle changes quickly when something just go brok...

MTCRE certification. This can be done with ospf and looback interfaces.

Re: RIP monitor

Why do you use RIP?. It's much better OSPF. If you are not ussing multiple core product you can turn on BFD .

Cheers.

Re: BFD OSPF AND CCR1016-12S

No one knows when v7 will be available. Mikrotik should disable BFD in fiber equipment until fix it. I have to move some equipment to Ubiquity Edge Router who has less CPU but enough swappable RAM for run my actual topology. @Mikrotik don't let engineers suffer with this issue. BFD OSPF AND CCR1016-12S

I report a issue with Fiber Cloud Routers (ccr1016-12s-1s+) and fiber CRSW to MikroTik since 1 month ago.

Don't use OSPF and BFD or you will have a lot of intermittence not caused by your links.

I have a bug reported with an open ticket with BDF and OSPF with CCR1016-12S, the session are not stable even with a cable between two routers.

Do you already fix your problem?.

Happy new year!. We are at 2015 and a lot of improvements on ROS has happened. We should keep using MPLS or EoIP and the new Cloud Cores and EoIp improvements are good enuf to replace MPLS?. Re: Using Mikrotik CCR1036 as a Bandwidth manager

Use simple Queues: In routerOS 6.0 theres a lot of improvements for process thousand of simple queues. If you don't want to add a simple queue for every customer just use address list, mangle and queues tree (but QTree don't are improved in the 6.0+). So its better to use simple ques and maybe you c...

If you are limited to a 1500 MTU you should try EoIP for not have problems with the packet fragmentation. I don't know how this could affect the performance of your router... good luck.

This is because both routes are received from different BGP instances. Best path algorithm is used only when routes are received from the same instance.
