Re: VPLS Tunnel not working - L2MTU on bridge wrong

The bridge interface inherits the lowest supported MTU so 1500 is right. Also if you have the ethernet interface that mpls/VPLS is running on in a bridge I don't think this works. Looks like you have 3 devices all trying to be a part of the same VPLS tunnel? I've never tried having a VPLS tunnel wi...

VPLS Tunnel not working - L2MTU on bridge wrong

Hi gurus, I had a wireless bridge that is working fine. I wanted to add a 2nd station, so I changed to AP-Bridge and copied the settings on the station to a new one (with the appropriate IPs changed). R0 (AP-BRIDGE) VPLS1: ip=172.16.0.1 ETHER1: ip=192.168.0.18 WLAN1: ssid="wrcbridge" BRIDGE: ports=E...

Re: How to setup single wireless bridge to 2 stations ?

First off - thanks to everyone for responding ! I finally got back to this. It turns out that I had the bridge 411AR set in bridge mode. Once I switched it to AP Bridge, I was able to properly connect. Luckily, we had bought a level 4 license so I was able to properly connect. The trick for me was r...

Re: How to setup single wireless bridge to 2 stations ?

Hi Jandafields,

Thanks !! I'm glad to hear it's that simple. I was worried on a single bridge would work.

How to dump 411AR hardware configuration ?

We have a 411AR<-->411AR bridge configuration. I'd like to buy an identical 411AR to add on a second station.

Is there a command from the terminal or Winbox that will tell me exactly which wireless card was added ?

Thanks,

Simple Bridge Networking Upgrade Question

Hi gurus, First off - We're a small church and we have been quite happy with our RouterBOARD 411AR <--> 411AR bridge that has allowed us to connect our church sanctuary (at about 100 meters) into the network in our main building. We are running version 4.5 of the MikroTik software. Now, I'd like to ...
