Re: VAP dhcp issue.

I ended up getting it working without the vLans. I had to leave the srcnat masquerade rule pointed at the bridge, then suddenly everything was working.

If somebody else runs into this, I'd be happy to post screenshots of my config.

Re: Dude for Linux

Update: In my latest testing of winbox in wine, the drag and drop functionality totally works! Now the only issue is the font rendering is a little wonky. Is there a font I'm missing that winbox uses on windows that I can install for wine use?

VAP dhcp issue.

I'm trying to set up a Virtual AP that is not at all related to the local network. Something very much akin to a guest network. I have it all set up, but any device on the Virtual AP only gets limited connectivity. If I put the VAP on the bridge with my wan port (ether1), then they work, but other d...

Re: Dude for Linux

More sysadmins use Linux than windows. MikroTik is a serious router, so.... I think a Linux version of Winbox (Linbox?) should be at the top of the to-do list for you guys. That said, it does seem to work very well in Wine, but I did notice that drag and drop from router to desktop was working in 5....

Re: Winbox for Mac OSx & Windows & Linux

Winbox is working great for me under Wine, except for the drag and drop. The drag INTO winbox is great, the drag OUT of winbox is what is FAIL. However, FTP access is AOK, so that's a fine work around for now? I'll try to force a wine upgrade and see if the drag and drop works better..... When I hav...

Re: firewall rule for specific pppoe connections.

We've got all that set up, but the main issue is we need to figure out the MAC address of the client being forwarded, and forward the MAC along with it.

Re: firewall rule for specific pppoe connections.

Is this the right part of the forum for this question? I just need to pass a MAC with a web proxy forward.... :/

For instance:
redirect-to=http://my.webserver.com/youAreSuspended ... 0:00:00:00

Not sure how to do it though....

firewall rule for specific pppoe connections.

I'm attempting to setup a Firewall Rule that will redirect a client who connects via PPPoE from within a known IP range to our web server with either their pppoe username or MAC address or both sent along with it. I'm not even sure where to start on this. Any ideas?

Re: v6 rc5 released

Drag and drop functionality is also broken in Winbox. Trying to copy an html file into the hotspot directory. Had to right click copy, then select the past icon at the top of the File List to make it work.

Another Bug:

In IP > Hotspot > Walled Garden IP Entry

adding a url like securedserver.isp.net doesn't work, I get the error "Error in Dst. Address - ip address expected!"

Bug Report.

I had Hide Passwords checked and it was still showing my password. Not that it mattered at the moment, my boss knows my password. This is a potentially big deal though in some environments!
