I had a proper configuration on firewall, lots of scripts etc. YET... Today I went on Google and got the CAPTCHA. I knew right of the b...

Re: Get RouterOS to act as DNS Server?

I though RouterOS would not have such thing. At the moment I have this done using WebProxy and it works for what I need, however thank you for your post it has lots of valuable information and I think you are absolutelly right that WebProxy is not really the best solution here. I will check "Le...

Hi All, I wish to achieve some functionality. I got the domain (example domain.eu) then on registrar I created A record to point *.domain.eu at my external static IP which for argument sake is 195.0.0.1. The local network is 172.16.0.0/22 and router IP is 172.16.0.1. Then I also have a separate web ...

Hi All, hope you can help me with my query. Is there a possibility to connect PPTP client to the server and pass that connection to a specific Eth port? So if I connect something to this port I will get access to resources on that VPN however any other Eth port would simply connect to my local netwo...

Re: In Game issue.

Thanks for reply, I had a NAT rule which was causing this issue. Sudenly while testing I observed growing packets on a NAT rule when I entered the spectated mode, I disabled the rule and it works.

My Router os is 6.0rc13 so I think its the latest.

Re: In Game issue.

Resolved.

Apparently this spectating mode is using port 8088 which I had directed towards my WebCam server ;/ It took me a while to find this out but it works.

Re: In Game issue.

Just tested through TP-LINK. Could not reproduce the issue.

Attached TP Link to a modem and got IP addresses through PPPoE connection. Attached my pc to LAN port, got IP from DHCP and all works fine. Spectate mode just works as a charm.

Will do more testing on Mikrotik.

Unknown interfaces.

Two of my IP address interfaces suddenly became 'unknown', please see screenshots below. ss2.jpg For the matter of fact they are being displayed fine in the GUI ss1.jpg Some scripts based on 'Public' interface simply fail. The only troubleshooting step that I have attempted was rebooting a router, w...

Re: Prevent accidental deletion.

This is what happens. 1. Logging in to Winbox. 2. Pressing "safe mode" 3. Accidentally deleting "bridge1" 4. Logs me out. 5. RouterOS loses IP address... so winbox shows 0.0.0.0 6. I take the helicopter :P Never mind ... I see u take my feature request to be unnecessary, so let i...

Re: Prevent accidental deletion.

OK, here is the example. 1. Log in to Winbox. 2. Go to Bridge. 3. Accidentally delete bridge. 4. Winbox will log you out straightaway. 5. If you are within the same network, you can login using MAC and press undo, otherwise take a helicopter and fly to the mountain 800m above the sea level. 6. Lets ...

Re: Prevent accidental deletion.

No I don't want windows yes/no... You mark one thing with PAD, that think I don't know goes 'orange' or whatever ... and then when select it and press "-" or press "-" on webUI the option just stays there, nothing happens. Edit: So to delete you need to first right click, deselec...

Re: Prevent accidental deletion.

Safe mode it's not what I am asking for. As far I concern 'Safe mode' is preventing from deleting anything. I want to only mark 1 or 2 things and have free will about the rest.

BTW: Safemode button? Where is this in Winbox?

Prevent accidental deletion.

Hi why there is no feature like that in Mikrotik? Just right click whatever, press 'Prevent accidental deletion' and then if you click by mistake on '-' you don't screw the whole network.

Redirect all websites to a specific URL.

Hi there, Can you please give me a hint on how to redirect all websites into one URL without creating a loop? I tried to use webproxy but when I do something like that Access List Src IP: 192.168.0.100 Action: Deny Direct: google.com I get a loop which I think it's expected but how to avoid the loop...

This is old topic, however it's been 2-3 years now and the problem is still the same. Winbox does not work along with Actual Multiple Monitor application.

FTP NAT rule

Hi there, Sorry if I ask the question that is already answered. I did search but didn't find anything. I created a NAT rule for port 21 to access my server inside my network from outside. Chain: dstnat Protocol: tcp Dst Port: 21 Action: dst-nat To Address: 192.168.0.12 To Ports:21 It worked for me s...
