I am not sure what the question is. Ethernet switches and fiber channel switches are not the same thing. I cant see more than 400mhz in System - Routerboard - Settings.

I'm not sure of that, most of the machines do not provide the option is embedded includes roterboard, why you do not use x86 instead?
