Re: CAP ac bad Antenna design?

Upgrade to 6.42.35 didn't really help in my case. iperf3 TCP traffic just collapses on regular basis. Hw. protection mode settings didn't seem to have any effect.

Eh, will write to support tomorrow. And maybe will do some ethernet-to-ethernet bridging/routing tests before that.

Re: CAP ac bad Antenna design?

after replace cAP lite with cAP AC i must say its shit..for now i cant get more then 60Mbit on 2.4GHz and same speed its on 5GHz. 6.42rc30 works better in some ways, time to time i get 200Mbits this speed its not stable. For no reason slows down in time. I have similiar experience. Speedtest.net sho...

Re: v6.41rc [release candidate] is released! New bridge implementation!

Just imagine, you can DDoS cloud.mikrotik.com and every router using this feature goes offline! ports still will be 'WAN', so nothing terrible should happen :) Opposite, inject a route to 8.8.8.8 into a dynamic protocol running on someones environment that relies on this feature. It'll toggle the i...

Re: v6.41rc [release candidate] is released! New bridge implementation!

*) bridge - initial support for "/interface list" as a bridge port (CLI only); Try this: /in bridge port add interface=all It's fun! (Spoiler alert - netinstall.exe) ;-) But actually, this feature is really what I was waiting for for a long time. I just hope these interface lists will be ...

"VLAN Trunk" under the new bridge implementation (6.41rc)

I want a switch, where all ports are "full VLAN Trunks": all ports are learning and forwarding all VLAN's, only tagged frames are accepted, and all frames are tagged. Strictly independent VLAN learning. This is what i came up with on my CRS 317-1G-16S+: /interface bridge add name=bridge1 v...

Re: MUM Europe 2017 Live!

So if there's no info about product release date (quarter) in a slide, should I assume it will be available in very near future (basicaly the product is ready to be released) ?

I'm particularly interesed in CRS317-... (the one with 16 sfp+ ports)

Java API: filtering in {set, remove} commands

Hello Java coders out there! Can you condense this to one execute() statement?: List<Map<String,String>> vlan_res = api.execute("/interface/ethernet/switch/vlan/print where vlan-id=" + vid.toString()); for (Map<String,String> vlan_item : vlan_res) api.execute("/interface/ethernet/swit...

Re: external editor syntax highlighting

Any suggestions how to syntax-highlight RouterOS scripts/configs in LibreOffice or MS Office documents ? :-) Maybe someone have made a plugin for that? .. Meanwhile, I'm using THIS post to syntax-highlight some RouterOS config, an then copy-paste it as "Formated text" into LibreOffice docu...

Re: Feature request for v7.x

Or even better - replace every "ports" and "tagged-ports" attribute (at least under "/interface ethernet switch") with a list of vlan-port associations in separate submenu (in style of "bridge ports", where you can use "add" and "remove" co...

Re: Feature request for v7.x

It would be very usefull to have "add to set" and "remove from set" operators in RouterOS commands, on those attributes, which contain some set of elements, i.e., ports: /interface ethernet switch vlan set [find vlan-id=10] ports+=ether1 /interface ethernet switch vlan set [find ...

OSPF route vs static route

I cannot override a static route with OSPF route even if I set the distance of the static route above 110 (default OSPF distance). With BGP I can! Just by setting distance of the static route above 200 (default BGP distance). Is it supposed to be like that? Shouldn't OSFP insert routes to the routin...

Re: Decline of Mikrotik?

One of the things that struck me from the UK MUM yesterday was the desire for better scripting within RouterOS. There's a real danger of losing out to Ubiquiti's Edge Router, which has a more feature-filled full Linux shell for its command-line. I already see plenty of WISPs consider Ubiquiti for t...

Interactive command-line packet sniffer, which would print packet headers immediately and without any 'paging'. Just like tcpdump. For example: /tool tcpdump interface=ether1 protocol=!udp src=192.168.1.0/24 10:23:49.941810 IP 192.168.1.171.4000 > 192.168.1.240.3565: Flags [P.], seq 35055931:3505595...

Re: v6.32.4 [bugfix] is released!

Short version: a system reset-config results in in zero configuration [...] I've so far reproduced on hAP lite, mAP-2n, RB951Ui-2HnD. I had exactly the same experience on RB951-2n and hAP. That initial configuration script does not get executed ... When I downgraded to 6.32.3, default config script...

Re: IGMP Snooping

If there's no plans for conventional IGMP snooping on CRS1xx/CRS2xx series, I'm READY to implement an "external IGMP snooping" for our access switch solution, where every user has his separate VLAN, which consists of three ports: tagged uplink port, tagged switch1-cpu port (for DHCP relayi...

Reverse path filter

Is there any posibility to change rp_filter setting for each interface individually?

Or, is there an access to /proc filesystem, so I could write '1' to /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/ether1/rp_filter ?

Or, of course, some sysctl interface ? :)
