LHG 60G - new MT and firmware link regression

Hi, I have many LHG 60G kits as a ptp links with various range deployed. I have never bothered about upgrading them much often as our routers, so they basically all stayed at MT version 6.47.7 and factory FW 6.42.1. Few days ago I have upgraded all links one by one both MT and FW version 6.49.11 and...

We are also in random reboots club. Device rebooted after 16 days 21 hours 34 minutes 24 seconds.
We have no software queue, only HW queues. Simple NAT router with one 10g trunk interface. Nothing fancy. Angry as hell.

Re: The big CCR2004 reboot thread (was 2004 hardware issues?)

You guys scare me. I need to replace our IGW router which is smt like 4-core ivy bridge core i7. It had a freeze a week ago, the first and only in like 7 years. So I bought CCR2004-1g-12s-x2xs as a replacement. Should I not even try to deploy it ? Some of you stated that not all units are freezing a...

Re: FLASH life on CCR routers

Thanks to everybody for their experience. I have updated code of our intranet system to first fetch actual IP filter state and to deploy/remove only the difference entries. And when I would globally disable/enable the filter the API client would only enable/disable the last DROP entry. This would mi...

FLASH life on CCR routers

We are small community ISP and have one central router on Mikrotik in use as an internet gateway. We have about 200 internet users and system which automatically checks and updates firewall every day according to bank account payments. About 15 years ago we started with some routerboard which had it...

Re: Ryzen build for Routeros

No need for server hardware, a RB1100AHx2 or CCR1009 will provide same if not better service for a fraction of the PC hardware cost with higher ethernet port count, and much, much lower power consumption. We rotate IP filters every day on main router and when we used backup RB for several day, half...

ROS. The 10g nic upgrade is not a must for now right now. It's more like a nice to have feature to keep entertained :) We have bought some Intel X520-DA1 before which should have support.

Re: Upgrade for x86 (Intel Core i5 gen2) router

Does RouterOS effectively use x86 multicpu on routing / filtering ? If 20% of cpu is used, is it that 80% is free or it's in fact only 5% on 4-core CPU ? ROS generally spreads tasks across available CPU cores with a few limitations (e.g. BGP updates will only happen on single CPU; packets belonging...

Upgrade for x86 (Intel Core i5 gen2) router

Hi, we are using RouterOS for x86 as our main router with NAT and IP filtering / accounting. It's some kind of intel Core gen2 with 4cores and 2,5Ghz base clock as reported in routeros resources. The CPU load is between 10-20%. Currently we have about 500Mbit WAN speed and the router is also routing...

Re: RB2011UAS-RM and APC SUA1500RMI2U. How to?

RB2011 does not work with SUA1500RMI2U anyway. The RB keeps rebooting itself every few minutes when connected by USB. Other UPS works fine, like CP900EPFCLCD which was really surprising. The SUA1500RMI2U is also OK when connected into PC.

Re: RB433AH dead after upgrade 4.17 -> 5.2

The board probably upgraded fine. Some series of boards had issues with 4.15-4.17 I believe where they wouldn't always shut down properly upon a reboot, so require a power cycle when they don't come back. Get someone to power cycle it physically and it should come back up with 5.2 installed. Yea, y...

RB433AH dead after upgrade 4.17 -> 5.2

I made a biggest mistake ever. Tried to upgrade a perfectly working RB433AH on distant node from 4.17 to 5.2 because of some reason after upgrading to 4.17 our cacti wireless signal graphs stopped working. The node is pretty far. Is this some common issue or just mine ? Does any experienced the same...

Hi, I can confirm that your implementation of read method runs very nice. The original wiki code was buggy, some commands does not executes at all. I used moly's fix http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=28681&p=143426#p143426. But it locks for few seconds on every command. With this...

Hi, thanks for your fix for php read method. Right now I found out that there is some performance issues that some of you may also have. It seems that certain commnans are very slow due to attempt to fread where there is no data. /ip/firewall/filter/add=chain=FILTER-IN=dst-address=10.154.114.229=act...

vlan very slow on RB433AH

I have switched linux router to RB433AH because of router maintanance. Router is setted for one interface with 7 vlans. After switch to rb, maximum speed is very slow. Maximum about 7mbit for aggregate trunk. Doesn't matter which vlan traffic flows. It is very strange, CPU is under 5% utilization, n...

Hi, I have 2 RB532As running 2.9.34. If i try to overclock any of them, they jump fine to 330MHz (tried both BIOS and Console) but reset either after a short time or after powercycling/reboot. On ptp links I always use rb532 because speed is important. In fact I dont see any point why they developed rb153 using so slow cpu. It cant even drive effectivelly one atheros minipci, but they put 3 minipci slots and 5 ethernets. Look at these test http://www.i4shop.net/cz/iObchod/WebInfo.asp?Id=1...
