Re: Dual Wan and mangle rules

I've been going around your answer and can't wrap my head around it, specially your example - Does your router has multiple networks? (192.168.0.0/24 and 172.17.0.0/16) - Do this rule replace the normal masquerade rules already in place like the following chain=srcnat action=masquerade out-interface...

Re: VLAN prioritization on hybrid ports

Hi chechito, thanks for answering, let me respond to your questions individually what do you mean with "hibrid ports"?? I mean Hybrid ports as stated on the wiki "Vlans on Mikrotik environment" on this URL http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Vlans_on_Mikrotik_environment and specifically this section: An ...

Hello all I'm trying to setup a Mikrotik RB951G-2HnD with hybrid ports, I'm almost there but I've got a couple of questions about prioritization Scenario is as follows - ether1 will be gateway - All other ethernet ports will be used to connect either PCs or VLAN capable devices (hybrid ports) I've s...

Re: New - RB951G-2HnD

RB2011 has external antennas via two MMCX connectors. There is a device for every purpose. Thank you very much normis, that's actually a very good choice, but for some of my current needs I guess that an RB751/951 with antennas is still a better choice, let me explain why I feel this way: Here in m...

Re: New - RB951G-2HnD

Inox : Of course, I can do that and also void warranty on the process, not an option when used commercially and when you need several of this devices I see Mikrotik as a quality product, as such modifying the device is very bad thing to do, if I wished a custom device I'd rather use a device I coul...

Re: New - RB951G-2HnD

Was about to buy two RB751 because of external antennas, since this model replaces it, then I should look for other brands.

PLEASE MIKROTIK, put antenna connectors on this devices, adding $10 - $15 dollars to price for external antennas is no that much

Re: New - RB951G-2HnD

RB951G-2HnD is Awesome! Mine works great and has great WiFi capabilities, this is almost the perfect router for my work needs as I have to switch between the RB751U-2HnD and the RB951G-2HnD for some projects. The RB751U-2HnD has an antenna connector, in my country most wall are made of concrete (yes...

Re: No ports for Huawei E173s-6

Ok, tried again with another E173, this time with the E173u-6 and it worked immediately

Huawei model E173s-6 is NOT supported by Mikrotik at the moment of this writing (v5.23)

How do I inform the people behind the compatibility list about this?

Re: VPN between 2 Mikrotiks, Can't ping client unless...

As far as I could see GRE cannot be used since it requires both ends to have public IP addresses, remember one of my sides has a Private+Dynamic IP address.

I'm gonna try manual SA as it seems the problem is there, will be back if it works

Re: VPN between 2 Mikrotiks, Can't ping client unless...

One question about GRE: Client side has a Dynamic private IP address and nothing can be done about that (ISP doesn't provide Public IP address for that end) can I still use GRE?

Ok, I may try that, but in the meantime I've noticed that the client doesn't installs any SAs until one packet travels from client to server

Hello all I have this little problem I've been unable to resolve: I have this scenario where two Mikrotiks are connected using an L2TP + IPSec VPN, everything is working fine but one thing: From the "server" side of the VPN (being it the LAN of the server or the SERVER Mikrotik itself) I'm unable to...
