IF ALL clients are MikroTik based hardware, YES you CAN cut both of their download and upload speed. IF they are NOT, you can EASILY "cut" ONLY their download speed at the speed you wish, through ACCESS LIST of your MicroTik AP. Re: 54 Km 5Ghz link

On a 23km link with the DBii's and the ARC 30dBd dishes, I've got -62dB/-61dB signal strengths and "manually locked" at 180Mbpps with 100%/100% CCQ at 40MHz bandwidth.
So I think that's easy enough.

100Mbit/s TCP speed I don't think that will be that easy.
You will need AT LEAST a HIGH POWER device PLUS at least 1m dish with ~33dBd gain at ~40km distance.

You could ask them to send it to you for a specific frequency and get it pre-tuned.
Othewise, you have to have a network analyser and precise cables (for it) to tune it as you wish.

Don't use the internal TCP bandwidth test because it pushes the CPU at 100% load and you will NOT be able to see what the link does.
Use the UDP bandwidth test instead.
After establishing a connection, try to get the MAX Tx/Rx CCQ out of it and THEN you will be ready (try for 100% Tx/Rx CCQ)

Why don't you put TWO batteries in series to get 24 - 28VDC and a solar of 24V or 2 x 12V in series? You will be MORE stable, PLUS the batteries in the case of 24VDC, could go down (due to discharge) even at 14VDC and then "cut them down". Now you have 3 options.

1. You must use Bandpass filters for you frequency,
2. Give a space between your radio at least 2m (minimum) away from the other antennas.
3. Use a dish shield (if you have a dish antenna) and also move it away from the other antennas.

Re: 80 miles link only 160 mb throughput

Am I reading this right? An 80 Mile link with dbii cards and ubnt 34dbi rocket dishes? How is that even possible? Do you mean 8 Miles? This blows my mind.... Are we seeing data rates and not throughput? It would be nice to see a bandwidth test from this link? With only 48% CCQ (Rx side) what do you...

Re: Low throughput on sextant with 300mbps/300mbps ( NV2 !!!

@seanet: with it's internal CPU running at 400MHz, while you run the bandwidth test between them, the CPU of the AP goes up to 100% load and it CAN'T produce more data to send to the CPE. Try EXTERNAL traffic generator (from a desktop pc through a 1G LAN connected to AP) and re-test... @ semakka : y...

Thanks guys.

Problem is that there are people out there who have already overclocked their routerboards and they are encoding problems (like I did) trying to solve them within this forum and their mind doesn't go the the fact that they might have problems due to this.

Not to start a new topic. QUESTION: What would you suggest for bondind options (NOT too much traffic - only 2 clients): a. 2 x RB411AH with 1 x radio on each of them, connected to a RB750UP to bond them? b. 1 x RB433AH or RB433GL with 2 x radios on it (internal routerboard bonding)? c. 1 x RB435G wi...

Connected at 150Mbps WAN with 100Mbps Ethernet, I can draw 11.4MB/s through it.
With your config, you should be able to draw over 15MB/s.
1.7MB/s as you say, is VERY LOW.
Your signal seams OK.
What's your Tx/Rx CCQ?
ALSO, are you connected at 100M (your ethernet) or at 10M?
