Re: v6.21.1 released

Actually MT should only allow new releases with permanent version number ready in their download (for auto upgrade) section when they are approved by many clients and at least are around for a month or so. Any other version, no matter how good they think it is, should be not considered to be 'defin...

Dear Deac....
in fact, i really have no ideal about this...

if you don't mind, you can tell me more which i will learn from it...
Just trust me.
In case of two sequentially connected 6.8Ah accumulators you will have at least 14 hours.
Amen.

Re: Wireless bonding technique.

Nope.
'Round-Robin' doesn't work with asymmetrical links because it breaks the packets order.

Re: Wireless bonding technique.

Wrong way.
'Balance Round-Robin' works ONLY with links who have same throughput.

If you have asymmetric links then you need other balance mechanism.
Like 'alb' or 'tlb'.

I didn't have XR5 for tests and I haven't 'word' about it.
Sorry.

My vote for native equipment.
Like R52n-M, R52Hn, etc

I have no XR5 but I set 'A' band on R52n-M and use only one chain.

Test throughput using second leg only:

Summarize throughput using both leg:

Re: Wireless bonding technique.

UBNT XR5 isn't 802.11n card and has only one chain.
I guess you're replacing 'band=5ghz-onlyn' with 'band=5ghz-a' in this config?
If yes then try 'nstreme' or '802.11' wireless protocol instead 'nv2'.

Re: Wireless bonding technique.

In this scheme bonding works through VLAN iface instead of HW iface.
P.S. This technique is inapplicable for ROS v6.x series. Coz bonding still broken.

Small question.

I have a middle-range NV2 link and it work fine for me.
But I see a very strange client state:
MT_NV2_link.JPG
HT40-7 has much more strength than HT40-0
How can that be?

Bonding with ARP monitoring is not working, disable ARP monitoring or change to MII solve the problem, tested on 750g, 750gl, 1000AH and 1100AHx2 Agree for RB433UAHL also. While you're working to fix it, bonding code can be temporarily backported from v5.25? If it's possible. In my test lab I see a...

Re: R5SHPn

R5SHPn is a very specific equipment.
It has only one chain and very high power.
One chain limits rate to a 150Mbps and high power can be superfluous for the short-range CPE.
As a result: R5SHpn isn't best choice for creation of WiFi sector.
Try R52nM or R52Hn if you need more power.

Re: Problem with 2 SXT's and Ptp Bridge

Try to use WDS.

At first retune on the STA side:
-- Mode: 'station wds'

At next retune on the AP side:
-- remove wireless card from the bridge
-- WDS mode: 'dynamic'
-- WDS default bridge: '<your preferred bridge>'

It's works fine for me.

I have the same problem. The link freezes every 2-3 days and 5.24 don't solve it. Now I use WDS and my link works fine at least two weeks.
Up to 50/20 Mbps via RB411UAHL+R52Hn at both sides.

Wireless bonding technique.

I have repeatedly seen a question about wireless cards bonding. Usually offered tunneling scheme(like EoIP) works quite well but dramatically decreases performance. In my practice I use aggregation of wireless interfaces through VLAN. General principles set out below: RF_VLAN_Bonding.jpg AP side set...

Would not write in the future, this is understandable. But how to avoid spoiling the current config by the suddenly appeared bad blocks? I don't know how MT stores the current config, but it's worth having in the two copies.

RB751U-2HnD has appeared bad blocks

After the next restart RB751U-2HnD stopped working. Checking has revealed appeared bad blocks.
