Re: ROS 2.9.50 & 3.x clients (possibly) incompatible?

Already did that before, wish it was that easy! when I get back in town from a road trip I will try bumping up the client to 3.0 and see if it yield the same results. If it fixes the issue I will upgrade the rest. if not I will go back to the 532 setup again. This has been one of those pita situatio...

Re: ROS 2.9.50 & 3.x clients (possibly) incompatible?

Ran into the sorta same thing, replaced out a 532 with a daughter card with 3 cm9s, it had a problem with one card when temperature outside was below freezing it would make the 532 reboot. Replace it with one 333 runnin 3.0 and 1 new cm9 plus the 2 known good cards. This resulted in a bad change of ...

Dude Notication half works

Strange, this used to work fine but now it wont. If I have a device that goes down I don't get the notification, but when the device comes back up I get the notification that it is up. I cant remember what I could have done to cause this. I have checked every setting I can find and I don't see any t...

Force RIP?

Is there any way to force command for RIP to get there routes? Had a new 532 as a AP and It would not find the rip table until I rebooted router many times. Then finally after pulling my hair out thinking I must have set up the routes wrong they decided to pop up.. Anybody else ever had this problem...

Check and see what your ccq is. I have found when it is below 50 thruput is terrible. I like to see ccq above 75.Also try going back to a 5mhz channel, I have had good success with many clients able to get 2k throughput with this. Good luck!

Re: FTP backup

The first thing to backup is : 1. Go to files-backup --> to backup file, don't forget to see if ur files has been backup. 2. if u see the file and exist, you may restore it. i guarantee there will be no problem. thx, I ran a backup on the router, had it email me. took the file and FTP it to a...

Is there any fix for this besides pulling down the radios and replacing them?
Warmer temps maybe. If the crystals are out of spec, A change out is the only option I see.

What type of temperatures are you experiencing? I have had a few cards that fail if the temp gets in the single digits F. Also have experienced on clients that shut off there cpe below 40f that they will not reasociate until temperature rises. Anybody want to take a dare? If your outside temperature...

Here is the setup: 112 board ver:2.9.35 SR9 48v power, 75' run of cat5 Rootenna encosure Everything working well. Client is up for three days fine. Then the card looses association. And will not reconnect. I have done a scan and the Ap cannot be seen. Normal signal when working was -68 both ways. Di...

We use gas-discharge surge protectors on EVERY radio on EVERY tower. I have probably 4 or 5 pac-wireless 12dBi omnis in the field, and a few other brands. We've never lost a radio to this issue. nickb, consider yourself very lucky! I was one too that has had this ESD problem. And I use gas-discharg...

SR9 Output

Is there anyway to check to verify the output power of these cards? Is the Router OS giving us the full output? I have a couple Links that I feel that I should be able to make but the signal is a little low and the link wont remain stable. Or maybe they are making to much power and creating there ow...

Don't trust the noise floor readings. MT 2.9 is not optimzed for an SR9 and you have to take the noise floor as an "indication" rather than the abolute truth. We have a lot of SR9s in the field, they work well on 112s and 532s. We NEVER, EVER install one with less than a -75 signal, stronger than t...

You must have a bunch of noise there! I had -90@ 285' with a 8dbi omni, but it would from time to time drop to -80. I installed a noise filter and it is stable at -95 now.

IMHO On all my 532ap+SR9 to 112+SR9 clients, I must have at least a -70 link before I will even consider it stable, Even at that strength I am losing association if the noise floor drops down to -85 from its normal -95. The best investment I have made is noise filters. They do help, but the links wi...
