Re: v7 won't announce all iBGP routes to peer

Hey jd603,

Just checking in :) I am curious if this issue has been resolved with any of the beta versions or any Stable-ish release of 7.2.x

:Smyers119: Forgive me for ignoring your perfectly legitimate question, I was just annoyed with a Forum Troll, and I completely over looked it. in accordance with established procedures i did in fact upgrade the software first then observed the system for 30 minutes and then installed the firmware t...

WOW just WOW, Did you not even read my post? of course i did the normal troubleshooting how else do you think i zeroed in on the DHCP service. No I will not be posting my configs as the configuration is not the cause of the issue, I will quote Yet again I have Multiple CRS 328's configured the exact...

Strange Issue with IPv6

Hey everyone i have a CRS328-24P which i have running in routeros mode, I recently noticed 75 - 100% CPU load and did some investigation. what i found was the DHCP server on IPv6 which serves up DHCP-PD to clients seems to be filling the routing table with duplicate entries every 3-6 seconds. obviou...

Re: v7.1.3 is released!

Are you sure you applied the chain to the input.filter on the connection to the peer? I already tried that, but that does not work either. I also tried to remove all the rules and recreate them, it does not work. It's only the "bgp-communities includes 65332:888" part that does not work. I...

Re: v7 won't announce all iBGP routes to peer

Yep not ready for production. I for one will be waiting till all my lab testing passes with flying colors. It's sad really that v7 had been under development for more than 8 years and still is not ready for production use, and to make matters worse they are already releasing v7 only devices. I do wo...

it is possible that it simply is not fully ready for production yet. have you tried setting up a CHR lab to reproduce the issue ?

This this is gonna ROCK! The Marvell Prestera-DX8525 is a beast 24x25Gb Lanes :) wowzah, configured for 100Gbps to the CPU makes this thing is an absolute MONSTER! This CCR will dominate all other Mikrotik CCR routers ever made. Can't wait to get my hands on one these. Can you say 100Gbps between co...

Re: v7 won't announce all iBGP routes to peer

I think 'igp rr' is the correct setting to use however if you dont want clients to reflect the routes back to one another try setting the extra no client to client reflection flag

Re: v7 won't announce all iBGP routes to peer

v7 actually follows more of the RFC standards for bgp i believe egp and igp modes are documented there. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-idr-bgp-open-policy/?include_text=1 igp rr should be equal to checking route reflect in v6 if i am not mistaken. also https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/pag...

Re: v7 won't announce all iBGP routes to peer

does it do the same, if you change the local role to "igp rr" with the new changes to BGP in v7 everything is explicitly defined i.e. filters are required. try creating a outbound filter with only one rule ex: add chain=Default-Out disabled=no rule="accept;" with that defined it ...

Re: CYRMU BGP peer on Router OS 7

it would seem that the no-llgr option is located in the community-set filters as to it's proper use I have not a clue.

like so many things in v7 documentation on its correct use is lacking.

Re: Is it possible to do a BGP announcement without any upstream commitment?

that depends on if they have any IPv6 infrastructure at all for example if they do not support ipv6 on their routers or switches then announcing your own ipv6 block to them is pointless becase it can not be routed to the internet and back to you. however if they do have support for ipv6 in their net...

Re: RouterOS v7 [SOLVED]

ok so i figured out that: if (dst-len in 16-22 && dst in 100.64.0.0/10) {append bgp-communities set1; accept} will append the standard bgp community to outgoing routes, but now how does someone match based on the communities on incoming routes. and how do you strip communities or reassign th...

Re: RouterOS v7 [SOLVED]

I did read the change logs which is why i did not apply it to the production system and why i copied the configs into a vm for testing. You should have read the changelogs. Routing has been rewritten from 0. It is now more similar to Juniper or Cisco IOS XR routing than it was to routeros v6. Althou...

Re: question about bgp full table from 2 different provider

when i change weight/local pref then it takes about 3-5m for update the weights because i haveabout 4m routes in my route table.
how in the heck do you have 4m routes, are you not filtering out anything smaller than a /24 ?

It really is quite simple just add the prefix to the network tab and then if you are using outbound filters add a rule for an exact match before the discard rule

I just upgraded one of my CRS125-24G-1S Switches to 6.30 hoping it would resolve some issues i noticed since upgrading from 6.27 sadly this is not he case. issue 1.
