Re: DoS attack? / CCR1036 / garbage floods from customers (18Mbps at the moment)

yes, thank you, I know I could use this feature, but a) it is hard to implement in this case, because (during the day) the "wrong" traffic is maybe 10% of the "correct" traffic, so which connection limit should we set, before damaging our normal users? b) it would not answer our ...

DoS attack? / CCR1036 / garbage floods from customers (18Mbps at the moment)

Hello, I would like to share something we have been experiencing recently on our network; we are a small WISP; in one of our networks we are currently doing traffic shaping only centrally in our core (server room), and not at cpe level; usually it works fine but since a couple of days we are noticin...

Re: RB953GS-5HnT

RP-SMA was created some 20 yrs ago due to regulatory / law requirements... it was meant to be HARDER for the end user to connect to a wifi device another (higher gain) antenna than what came bundled from the factory now it does not make any sense, RP-SMA cables and pigtails are everywhere (and, yes,...

does the 953GS-5HnT have galvanic isolation? can it function with both positive and negative voltages?

953GS-5HnT temperature range?

which is the allowed operating temp. range?
0 ... 50 (C degrees) ?
-20 ... 70 ?
-40 ... 85 ?

I got today my first sample... really heavy piece, I assume due to the large 3x3 radio heatsink

Thanks

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Hello all we changed hardware; we are now using the CCR1016-12S-1S+ as BGP router (still w/ 6.13) two 300Mbps peers; acting only as border gateway (we have a separate CCR for NAT and a 3rd one for bw shaping) until now, no issue with bgp, finally uptime 10d and counting, let's hope we'll see 30d too...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

we never enabled a watchdog on any MT router should I do it, on the bgp ccr? can I safely assume that, if I enable watchdog, next time that the ccr will have a BIG problem, it will reboot by itself, instead of crashing and needing somebody run there to power cycle it? of course, I would be happier, ...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Hello all since yesterday I am using (in production environment) a CCR1016-12G with 6.13, as BGP router connected to two peers anybody else using a CCR as BGP router, with a recent build, can report that the initial issues had been solved? I am a bit worried... since in the first four months of 2014...

Re: CCR - BGP performance

Hi, could you please upgrade to RC13 and report here if it works in your environment stable, as it seems working for you until now; I upgraded to RC13 but don't want to risk again putting it in production; in our case, RC10 RC11 and RC12 are not working more than 9 days, when doing BGP in real world...

Re: CCR - BGP performance

Hello we tested a CCR1036 with RC10, RC11, RC12; with two peers (100 Mbps each) and two full tables, in production :-| it runs well, BUT it has a maximum uptime of 9d; after that, all interfaces disappear, and it has to be power cycled when it runs, CPU usage is 2% on average for comparation, a RB11...

Re: CCR ethernet port flapping on RC12

hi, in my opinion, the current Mtik routers do not really support 100baseFX on SFP; I had also problems with a RB2011 and found out it accepts only 1Gbps SFPs (currently)

Re: CCR1016-12G Ethernet Ports failing

can you please try generating the supout.inf file? how long does it take to get the work done on a CCR in normal conditions? I have a CCR1036RC12 in "crashed" state, I connected my backup router instead (RB1100AHX2), I don't need to reboot the CCR, I can investigate... I push "make su...

hi, today evening it crashed again so we decided to NOT reboot it, instead we connected our lines to the backup router, a RB1100AHX2 so at the moment our "crashed" CCR1036 is on and in "crashed state", so that we or MT can further investigate I am trying to produce the supout fil...

we have a CCR1036 RC12 in production, with BGP only, no PPP as I was fearing, today we got the expected crash, just approaching the "9d" uptime mark the router stopped forwarding I entered it via winbox, it answered; all interfaces were missing; I was trying to keep calm but was not able t...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

hi again we got some days ago our 3rd CCR, a CCR1016. Re: MUM Croatia NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT

I'm mostly interested in CCR with 10G SFP+ (I'm a CCR fan having already bought 3 and 2 already in production) and in R11E-HPND finally a high-powered MPCIe card with 2 MMCX and with normal (full) size I see it uses the (relatively new) AR9580 chipset which are the differences to AR9380? I can't fin...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Two CCR in production, both RC11

one with no problems, uptime 28d and counting

one with "freezing" problem, it happens randomly, first every 10 days, then after some hours (since last reboot), then after 3d

we'll going to test RC12 when released

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Hello all, I don't say that BGP is 100% the *only* problem area, I say only that: one CCR1036 doing only BGP (2 ports to 2 different ASN), one LAN facing a NAT router and then a traffic shaper, one DMZ to servers, no SFP port used, is crashing on average every 10 days (today evening we got the 2nd c...

yes, I also think that bgp could be the problem we have 2 ccr running the one without bgp had no problem until now, uptime 20 days and counting... the one WITH bgp had once the "winbox access not possible" issue, and after a couple of days a complete crash; current uptime 9 days (we tested...

(CCR) winbox access issue "freezing" / system stop

Hello, we are an ISP and have at the moment two CCRs running, both with 6.0RC10 one has 10d uptime and experienced until now no problem the other: at 8d uptime, the issue arised "no winbox/ssh access possible"; after 2 days in that state (but everything working; it's acting as BGP router w...
