Re: Certificate Key Import not possible on v7.7

I had an issue importing certificates, I checked my certificate and It had some blanck rows at the end. After deleting those rows I could import the certificate
Same problem here. Will try to update to v7.11 where some certificate bugs are fixed (as mentioned in changelog).

Re: Correct antenna-gain setting on Mikrotik Hardware [SOLVED]

In RouterOS 6.47.10 (May/31/2021) I had to set Frequency Mode to regulatory-domain first (and press Apply button). Then switch Installation to any [or indoor] (and press Apply button) to be able to connect to the indoor 5 GHz network. I checked the status of the wireless interface (connection/discon...

Re: wlan1: [MAC] requires more rates than we support

I had to downgrade to ~2 years old RouterOS to be able to connect to 5 GHz network.
what version did the trick?
I'm not able to reproduce it again (I don't have access to original devices anymore). It seems like AP settings was changed to be able to connect.

Re: wlan1: [MAC] requires more rates than we support

I had to downgrade to ~2 years old RouterOS to be able to connect to 5 GHz network. There is no change even I tick on all data rates (or default) on Wireless - Data Rates. wlan1: [MAC] requires more rates than we support (UNABLE to connect to 5 GHz network)

Re: Automatic unknown VLAN forwarding through trunk

Until vlan-filtering=yes is set, CCR/CRS forwards all unknown VLAN to every port. Once vlan-filtering=yes is set, it stops this auto-VLAN-forwarding and I have to define on all trunk ports every possible VLAN (as tagged) if I want to pass them through this port. I follow new configuration mentioned ...

Automatic unknown VLAN forwarding through trunk

Hi. I have CCR -- CRS ----------- CRS -- CRS (...) If I would like to use a VLAN defined/routed at CCR on last CRS, I have to fill this VLAN as tagged on all previous CRS's bridge VLAN table (on both interfaces where VLAN should be transported). Is there a possibility to have VLAN defined on CCR and...

Re: Lost connection, no beacons received

This magical 6 or 8 minutes "lost connection, no beacons received" is somewhat better when I changed client to mode=station instead of mode=station-bridge (faster reconnect).
I have to change WiFi cards probably to match each other to avoid this problem completely.

Re: importing and exporting config files

You have to export compact configuration (only changed values) by: /export compact Then reset configuration by: /system reset-configuration no-defaults=yes skip-backup=yes And then import with verbose=yes and watch what is wrong and possibly edit .rsc file to find where the problem is (try to delete...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

I have small LAN and my provider gives me IPv6 /64 network, but I'm not able to use it in my internal infrastructure yet (I have few routed LANs with UTP and WiFi). Also I have bigger LAN, where I do NAT for IPv4 and when something change, I'm not able to fix IPv6 at the same time as IPv4, as I hav...

Re: NAT64 and DNS64

Google just made a public DNS64 server, NAT64 gateway is more relevant then ever.
https://developers.google.com/speed/pub ... docs/dns64
We really need NAT64. And also IPv6 NAT (not IPv6 masqureade, just NAT).

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

Just a small advice: if you need NAT on IPv6 you are doing something wrong... Masquarade is dynamic NAT, which is not needed in IPv6. Static NAT (1:1) is another question and it's non-presence is a showstopper in many situation. Inability to make a hot fix for IPv6 addressing means you are unable t...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

For more than 3 years I'm waiting for v7 as I really need IPv6 NAT and this feature is there since 3.9.0 Linux kernel (but v6 has 3.3.5). Missing Wiki doc for /ipv6 dhcp-relay

There is no explanation for /ipv6 dhcp-relay at http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IPv6

This is essential for MS Windows to configure IPv6 address of DNS server.

Re: How can I create new partition on CCR?

Partitions are marked A-active, R-running. 1) In the root menu Partition you could Repartition (size is determined by the system). After Repartition to the desired number of partitions the system will be rebooted. You have to have space for the number of required partitions on your flash (see http:/...

[BUG] Native connection to IPv6 provider (trouble with /127 and /126 prefix in ROS v6.29.1)

I have RB1100AHx2 with latest RouterOS v6.29.1 and I have working IPv4 setup. I need to add IPv6 support. I'v got 2001:0db8::10/127 for the upstream provider interface and 2001:0db8::11/127 for mine. The provider I'm talking about is Cesnet in the Czech republic, which is the provider for academic n...
