Re: Mikrotik RB2011 as a client on a Linux Wireguard server

OK, let's close the whole thing.

I didn't want to let anyone do my work on the configuration, but maybe a nudge in the right direction.

Until now, I was of the opinion that you can also ask questions in a forum. Even if they may seem simple or stupid for some (or many??).

Re: Mikrotik RB2011 as a client on a Linux Wireguard server

That if I knew, I would already be further. I have tried very many different configurations, but none have worked. I have unfortunately not found any information that helped me with the assignment of the data from the client.conf to the inputs at Mikrotik or with which I could do something. I will p...

[Done] Mikrotik RB2011 as a client on a Linux Wireguard server

I would like to set up a wireguard connection on my RB2011. The router should connect as a client to a Linux wireguard server and send (route) certain clients or URLs over this connection. I have a client.conf, but I can't manage to create a working configuration and connect with it. [Interface] Pri...

Re: Multiple WAN IPs - Questions?

Thank you for the information. I can configure the /29 network directly on the mikrotik. It is provided as a subnet. All IP addresses and LANs are used by me alone. I plan to test a little with it and expand my knowledge a little. I plan to do a test with VRF. But I am not sure if I can realize my i...

Multiple WAN IPs - Questions?

I have been assigned a /29 network by my ISP. So I have 6 public IPs to tap via a router. I want to use at least 3 of these IP addresses to make services reachable from the Internet. Is it practical to run e.g. 3 IP addresses (WAN) separately via a Mikrotik router to separate LANs (3 WAN <--> 3 LAN)...

I have two RB4011iGS+ that each establish a PPPOE connection to the same provider and get a fixed IP. Is it possible with RouterOS v7 to make these two connections redundant. So in case of a failure of one device (or reboot) the connection of the PPPOE client should not be interrupted, because on bo...

[Solved] CRS326-24G-2s+ ua; SwOS 2.13; LAG on sfp+ and other ports failure

With the help of the support team, I found out that the connection error was not caused by the Mikrotik devices. It is almost certainly a problem with a fibre optic cable. This is probably what caused the timeouts. I am having massive problems connecting two Mikrotik switches, both flashed with the...

Have you tried to access Wireguard on device A via port 8080 and set up DSTNAT to device B to the Wireguard port. Some ISPs block various ports. If port 8080 (TCP) works, it should also work on WG.

Good idea. There are a lot of people who would like to get your useless routerboard... It is still being used, but it is no longer a firewall. Maybe I try it again or twice ;-) I was just annoyed because I did not manage to set up the router. The additional WAN connection I have needed however. Rosi

Mac address is layer 2. It is, if I understood correctly, only from router to router passed. For me, therefore, your network works. The router should only transmit its MAC address.

Concretely, I am concerned about the order of the rules. Which rules belong to the beginning and which to the end. Include INPUT, OUTPUT or FORWARD. In other words, they should all be (following) together?
