btest uses only ONE core of the router. So if you have a CCR with 4 cores, it will use only 1 core, and the other three will be idle. ALWAYS use iPerf, or better: real file transfer a traffic what the end user will use. For example: Database is in location 1, and user is in location 2. He (or she) s...

Put the Unifi controller in the SAME subnet as the guest users. Put it in a walled garden (with it's MAC address), so that the controller does not need to authenticate. Not the most elegant solution, go back to the stable version. I assume your clients want a stable connection, and that the device does not work 3 x per week. That is NOT reliable.

First determine, how much traffic is going to go through the wireless part? How many Mbps do you need. The same as this: You need to get from point A to point B. Your choice is a car. Make sure you take this into account: Total limit is 2.8A@24V That means, that if you have 5 identical devices they should not draw more than 560 mA PER UNIT. That is approximately 12W per unit. The WAP AC is 12W. So it `might` or might not work. Secondary solution: Buy a 48V adapter and power the C...

These protocols are used for point to point connections.

So set it to 802.11 protocol, so every phone / tablet will recognize it.

Why do you not have the Routerboard receive an IP from the DHCP server? Now it is a fixed IP outside the range of the DHCP server. Normally no problem, but if you want to manage the Mikrotik, you will need to change every time your IP from your PC.

That way you can see if the clients also get an IP.

Sorry, the screenshot was indeed the traffic to the Ubiquity.

I downgraded it now to 3.8.3, and it "seems" to be stable.

I wonder why the mobile phone generated or received such an amount of traffic. On that phone there is no Ubiquity app installed.

@Setneuf: Your RSRP is very low. -100 dBm is "low". Move your antenna's (and the modem) to the place as high as possible in the house (your UTP cable can go up to 100 meters without degradation of signal or speed).

you do not "setup" the RSSI. The RSSI is a value of the signal strength of the received signal. Is the phone close, to the Mikrotik, you will see a high RSSI. Is the phone far away, you will see low RSSI.

So what do you want to set?

Why not do this in a routing table? I assume that the VPN server you are dialing to has an IP. So for example: Dst address: 92.58.48.145 gateway 192.168.1.253. Re: VLANs strategy, router + swicth configuration

There are two ways to define VLAn's on a Mikrotik: 1. Simple, add VLAN to a port (multiple if you need a trunk). That way the VLAN will go through the processor chip (means slow(er) performance). 2. Define VLAN on the switch chip (that is very fast). And yes, CRS (Cloud router SWITCH) behaves comple...

IP settings have nothing to do with disconnects.

The WiFi disconnects are on L1 or L2. IP get's in the picture on L3.

You should have a look, how many other routers, devices etc.... are in the vicinity of your clients. Use InSSID-er to see what channel is the least congested.
