Re: v6.30.1 bugfix release

I think the great idea to improve software quality will be broken quet fast why? because maintainance window is too short, even if mikrotik start it now by pickingup LTS, it will take around 2 years to fix most of the bugs. I think 3 years would be optimal for LTS, by picking up LTS each 2 years And...

Re: What does MikroTik have against external antennas in SOHO products?

this is realy sad, and speaking about RB hardware there are many failures: fail #1 was introduction of microUSB connector on 2011 and related hardware fail #2 was removal of external RF connector on 951G fail #3 was microSD and SD card lack of support on CCR fail #4 was RS232 console serial instead ...

Re: Comments about RouterOS release schedule

you know what normis,

PLEASE STOP BLAMING CUSTOMERS AND FIX BUGS. THIS IS MIKROTIK DUTY AND MIKROTIK COMMITMENT .

I am sick of that kind of attitude (it is customer who is wrong because it is using mikrotik product...)

Re: Feature request for v7.x

Hi Mikrotik, to be honest, I would highly recommend to fix all bugs before you move to new features (please show some respect to your customers) once you finish with bugs: 1) DHCP snooping 2) IP source guard 3) dynamic arp inspection 4) IGMP snooping ... and one more very important thing - to fix VL...

Re: Manual Improvements

Hello Mirkotik staff,

It looks like your documentation got corrupted, so why dont you reset it to factory defaults and start it from scratch?

CCR1036-8G-2S+ dhcp server bug and IP forwarding bug

Hello Mikrotik team, I have 2 bugs: 1) dhcp server on CCR does not issue default gateway although its set 2) from time to time CCR is stopping to forward packets on bridged RJ45 ports (~3min, later recovers). Issue has gone once bridge was extended to SFP+, and all devices has moved to switch (conec...

Re: Bring Up IPSec

hey Infatuas, ... to have IPsec working you need interesting traffic, and in this case - its your LAN traffic why dont you build GRE tunnel inside the IPsec ? in that case you can set keepalives (lets say each minute), so encrypted tunnel (crypto tunnel) always stays up? in addition - you could also...

Re: VLAN trunking, etc, on Mikrotik hardware

Hey CelticComms, the point is - I need to have specified interfaces on the RB951G and RB750GL act as L2switch (in Cisco terms), with SVI on each RB on the VLAN-80 the role of each device is clearly shown in the topology routing for 81,82,83,84 is done on a separate router (not shown) routing for 80 ...

Re: Recover from "No Default Configuration" System Reset???

Hi TDPsGM,

I have found that sometime MT hardware doesnt reset even if you reset it (?), try once again (couple of times!) to reset it with reset button (you have to hold it during the powerup, and release once ACT stops flashing - aprox 10s)

I am getting tired of all this Mikrotik (though features are amazing)...

VLAN trunking, etc, on Mikrotik hardware

Hi guys,

I am not new to networks (Cisco), but configing Mikrotik switching is becoming a pain
see topology

I would appreciate if anyone would post complete switching config for all 3 Mikrotik devices, for IP subnets pls use x.x.Z.x (Z=vlan id)

Many Thanks,
Tomas
