Hi Mazyaar, turning up power is never a good thing, signal will get distorted easily. When signal leaves the radio in a distorted way, CCQ will drop. Best way is : use as little power as possible to achieve best signal. In case of the SXT Lite5 the sweet spot is around -55 (depending on noise etc.) ...

Always force MCS rates with NV2, as soon as the NV2 clients use data, CCQ goes right up. And because you use forced MCS rates it will NOT go down (unless you have interference or fresnel issues).

Last week a customer ran a 112m(!) cheap Cat5e cable and powered a SXT Lite5 and it runs like a champ :lol: yep.. even runs at 100Mbps FDx

Hmm Airfiber questions on MT forums :D

Your neigbors will NOT 'see' the wireless network, as the protocol used is proprietary. The signal WILL be measurable in their home as the signal will not stay in a small path. It's not a laser you know :lol:

Lot of things going on,

I see some weird DHCP errors, almost looks like there is some interconnect somehow between the 50.x and 0.x network.

Sure, upgrades to latest stable is no bad idea, don't forget to upgrade the Routerboar firmware as well.

Hi FirstTech, not sure if this helps, but you could try and clone the MAC of your old router to the WAN interface of the MikroTik. This way you'll go around possible ARP issues, plus if the provider locks onto the MAC address, they'll think you are still using the old router.. :D Just my 2cts.. wort...

If you run a recent RouterOS, you should be able to control what speeds you are advertising.. Its under the 'Ethernet' tab under the interface connected to the Arris. Smells like bufferbloat, try forcing the Arris to 100Mbps Full Duplex.. As well as the MikroTik ofcourse. You could also configure auto negotiation to only advertise 100Mbps Full Duplex. Yes, no problem. You can run the PPPoE server on that very same interface as you run the hotspot on.

check the ethernet connections between routerboards, if the link speed is 1Gbps between Routerboard 1 and 2 , and 100Mbps between 2 and 3 then you could have this problem.

Just to try : force all ethernet connections to 100Mbps FD :)

Unless thing have change you can't lock client data rates if you are using NV2. Works just fine :), locking data rates needs to be done @ the AP, i lock all clients to a MCS (and basic rate is just 6Mbps). So in my case is use MCS11 .. clients get 120 or 6 Mbps.. somehow all clients prefer the 120M...

I think it catches SIP messages on configured ports and changes local IPs to public mapping in Contact, Via etc. Also it changes the media address in SDP, so, you don't have to worry about STUN etc. However, it doesn't help with incoming media streams, so, you have to fix a port range for RTP on yo...
