IPv6 LDRA gets not forwarded on CRS518-16XS-2XQ

We have a Nokia DF-16 XGS-PON OLTs behind a CRS518-16XS-2XQ. The DF-16 intercepts DHCPv6 Traffic to insert the Circuit-ID and other information into the requests and the forwards it via IPv6 LDRA - Lightweight DHCPv6 Relay Agent (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6221) The resulting packet is...

Re: BGP prefix count in ROS 7.1 stable

It would be relay nice to see the number of received prefixes. Even if it does not consider if they get filtered further down the line. Just how many are received by that peer.

Re: BGP ECMP (multipathing)

You are absolutely right. That's why I do not use mikrotik for larger scale BGP deployments. They should use something prooven as routing suite, like frr or bird underneath.

IPv6 DHCP Relay with PD not installing route

Hi I try to use a Mikrotik CCR as a IPv6 Gateway for a bigger network. Client CPE gets its prefix via DHCP6 PD. The CCR has a DHCP6 Relay configured but does not install the prefix it hands out to the Customer CPE into the local routing table. When I configure the DHCP Server locally on the CCR the ...

Are you now convinced that there should be a "maximum-path" feature like in cisco ios to accomplish this? Or am I just to boring to be eligible for a rely.

Re: BGP ECMP (multipathing)

No, the other way around:
    +-------------- ISP_R1 -+
    | EBGP |
 R1-+ | IBGP
    | EBGP |
    +-------------- ISP_R2 -+
R1 is Mikrotik
ISP_R1 and R2 are Cisco

Re: BGP ECMP (multipathing)

Remote peers are not the problem. I want two default routes on the Mikrotik to the remote peers. That does not change anything if I make a session to remote peer loopbacks.

Re: BGP ECMP (multipathing)

Please explain how this is different to what I already wrote. Loopbacks are not possible. There are two (2) BGP sessions to two (2) different routers. So the destination can not be the same.

Or am I wrong ?

It would be nice if RouterOS would support reading out DOM/DDM values of the instales SFP/SFP+ via SNMP.
Sopport in the Webinterface is working well.

Re: Authenticating Login Users via Radius with LDAP backend

Problem is, the LDAP is not an AD (it's an Apache Directory Server), we do not use Windows for such things.

@Mikrotik: would it be possible to add a config option to be able to do also PAP/CHAP for Webfig ?

100BaseBX SFP Support

Hi all

We are evaluating RouterBoards as FTTH customer CPE's and have now a RB2011UAS-IN in our Lab.

We tested serveral 100BaseBX SFP's but non of them seam to work. They see if the link is up or not, but no traffic is flowing.

Is there any solution to that ?
