SSH: ed25519 key support?

A quick search shows that it was a feature request over 2 years ago and I have only seen intermittent mention of it. I currently maintain a collection of RSA keys just for all my Mikrotik devices because they don't support ed25519 keys, which I use on all my *nix servers. Will these ever be supported?

Re: 2011UiAS Ethernet Interface Flapping

my flapping is gone with ROS release 6.38.3 sooo happy ! Has this problem cropped up again? I have some 650 or so routers in the field with "pairs" (where two Mikrotik devices are connected to each-other) exhibiting this problem between each-other on 6.38.1. I'm obviously reluctant to upgrade them ...

Re: upgrade to ROS 6.38.1 - problem with bonding?

I'm fighting a similar problem with an hAP ac that I just set up and installed for a customer. The configuration is dead simple, mostly stock configuration plus an L2TP/IPsec VPN gateway with RADIUS for auth... It did have bonded interfaces for a server, but even with that removed, I'm seeing a bunc...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

I bought an MC7355 6+ months ago to use as a cell modem. Your page claims it will be in v7, but that still hasn't come out yet. When can I expect to be able to use it? It doesn't even show up in the USB list, let alone the "/interface lte" menu.

Thanks.

Support? I'm having the same kind of problems on two CCR1036-12G-4S routers. They refuse to boot over ethernet using Netinstall.

Re: One pptp-server on each wan interface

I couldn't force L2TP/IPsec to at least respond using the same source for the response. I eventually had to dedicate routers specifically to act as VPN gateways on a single public IP. One partial solution is to use the shared PPTP server that listens on all ports and control what happens when a clie...

Re: netinstall problem under Windows 8

This is on a spare that I was going to swap in to replace another CCR1036-12G-4S that appears to have a corrupted installation of RouterOS. It is still running, but the DNS cache and web interfaces are toast. Upgrading by uploading packages through SSH failed to fix the problem, so this is plan B, a...

Re: netinstall problem under Windows 8

Here's what happens: Settings on the adapter attached to the router (Others are disabled): Adapter.png Configuration on Netinstall, which is running: Netinstall.png Terminal after moving from Eth1 to Eth12, before automatic reboot: Terminal-eth12.png I'm sure that I'm doing this right, but it seems ...

On a CCR1036-12G-4S? It's marked that Eth12 is the boot port.

netinstall problem under Windows 8

So, I'm trying to use netinstall, which I have used successfully many times before (Windows XP-7) with many different routerboards, but for some reason I cannot get this to work on this machine (Windows 8) to this router (CCR-1036-12G-4S). According to wireshark, the router is sending out a lot of B...

Re: Action Timed Out?

Sadly, netinstall refuses to work. I booted the router with a serial terminal attached, set it to boot from ethernet, then exited the menu and powered it down. Started netinstall, set the address, set "net booting"->"boot server enabled", connected an ethernet cable to the only enabled port (same su...

Action Timed Out?

I keep getting this error in various places on one of my CCRs. Is there some way to force a reinstall (this is happening in some places that are covered by the system package)? Is the onboard flash failing? An upgrade did not fix it and rebooting doesn't fix it. Shutting down and physically cycling ...

Re: v6.30.1 bugfix release

I have a CCR1036-12G-4S that somehow ended up on 6.30 (not entirely sure how/why - the sister router was on 6.28 and they're upgraded simultaneously). In any case, this installation positively refuses to upgrade to 6.30.1 or downgrade to 6.28 and PPP connections have become extremely unstable, with ...

Re: Web server on mikrotik

Lots of bad info here. I've used older Routerboards as embedded web servers (among other things) before and they were fantastic (and cheap). The first time was back in 2008. All you need to do is load a Linux distro over the network (I believe I used OpenWRT, but I haven't done it in years). I would...

Re: RouterOS 6.1 System > Reset Configuration bug?

This is a *very* nasty bug. I just beat my head against a wall for a long time trying to isolate a solution to it. Even running these in order ended up leaving this router (RB951G) unusable under ROS 6.1 & 5.25: /system reset-config keep-users=no no-defaults=yes skip-backup=yes [reboot] /export comp...
