RB1200 Simple Queues missing from GUI

Hi, I have around 10 simple queues, they work great. Router is RB1200 OS 6.0 A couple of days ago they all disappeared from the GUI - webfig and Winbox - but they are still functioning and I can see they still exist by checking in the CLI/terminal. Is this a known issue, or something I have done mak...

Re: Queueing a range of IP's - sharing bandwidth

I just tried this and all my queues have disappeared in the GUI? - Webfig and Winbox?! I can see them in command line and they are still working, how can I get the GUI to show these again? Reboot? I can't reboot this router much as its a core router I have to arrange down time. The unit is an RB1200...

Re: Queueing a range of IP's - sharing bandwidth

These are great replies - thanks that does seem so much simpler, I will probably use that!

I will keep TWS's reply though as I can see this info will possibly be useful for future projects.

Thanks again

Queueing a range of IP's - sharing bandwidth

Hi All, I am loving the simple queues - I've shared a 100mb fibre connection out to clients and that's working great as they all just have 1 IP from my range. But one customer has just paid for additional IP's - 6 from our 14 ip range. I need to give that customer 6 IP's, and a guaranteed 20mb conne...

Re: PPPoE Noob

just for further info, I just made sure that I was able to connect using the same pppoe connection, using the same laptop and the same draytek 120 modem and it worked fine when using the PPPoE client in windows. I wiresharked the traffic and I could see data passing to and from the laptop and web se...

Re: PPPoE Noob

Thanks for the reply Nick, I checked the Add default gateway settings, turns out I actually had my dhcp client unconfigured. I re set it up and it doesn't get an ip address. the add default gateway setting was already enabled on the pppoe interface. Its bizarre, like I say I can ping anything by nam...

PPPoE Noob

Hi all, I am trying an x86 box with 6.0rc13 with a Draytek 120 adsl modem. It kind of works, but i only seem to be able to browse google! I can open the google page, search for e.g. speedtest.net or bbc.co.uk and bring up the search results and advertising content, but when i click a link or type a ...

Re: RB1200 do not reboot, stopped on: jumping to kernel code

Update - the unit does reboot, it just seems to take 60-90 seconds before it 'beeps'.

I'm happy enough

Re: RB1200 do not reboot, stopped on: jumping to kernel code

I have a similar problem, Brand new RB1200 that I upgraded all packages to 6rc14. The unit will reboot on command, but if I shutdown or power off the unit it will not boot unless I hold in the reset button and then plug in the power. The unit beeps after a few seconds and then boots ok. Is there any...

Re: Restore config from level 6 to 5

Anyone else considering this issue: I sorted this - I powered the unit off and then back on whilst holding the reset button - with the intention of factory resetting the unit and manually setting it up. As soon as the unit beeped i released the button. The unit had not reset but this time I was able...

Re: Restore config from level 6 to 5

That's great thanks for the confirmation. I read the wiki, downloaded all packages and dropped them onto the RB1200 and it upgraded fine. I dropped the config on and rebooted but now I have no ip's on the box - i.e. winbox finds the unit on wire but says ip address is 0.0.0.0/0 and will not connect....

Re: Restore config from level 6 to 5

Thanks for the reply.

What about transferring my config from 6.0rc13 x86 unit to the rb1200 on v5.11?

Can I upgrade the RB1200 to V6.0rc13? or am I misunderstanding the versioning?

Is there later firmware versions for the RB1200? the latest seems to be 5.25
Thanks

Restore config from level 6 to 5

Hi, Forgive my noobness with Mikrotik, I have searched but I don't see anyone trying to do what I want to do, or I am using the wrong search terms I am planning to roll out an RB/1200 level 6, and I would like to know what options I have for keeping a 'cold' spare incase that unit fails. Obviously I...

Strange NAT behaviour - or just noob issue?

Hi this is my first stab at running a Mikrotik unit - an IBM x86 server running 6.0r13 at our office, in evaluation (free mode) before rolling it out in a small ISP and using BGP and queues to manage ISP customers. My issue is when I connect to my mail server from a remote site, the mail server resp...
