Re: v6.0 released

The queues dissapear after a short period of time from queue list and if try to added again i take this error message "couldn't add new simple queue-already have such name" This happens on all my RB951 and SXT devices, too. They're accessible through the command shell, though. I really ho...

Re: v6.0 released

I am growing increasingly wary of Microtik's IPv6 support due to: »Bridge-local« doesn't properly get a link-local IPv6 address at boot time resulting in no »router advertisements« being sent to connected hosts, in turn resulting in their IPv6 connectivity loss. Even after deleting a faulty address ...

Re: v6.0 released

The first SXT Lite 2 I've grabbed and updated from v6rc14 rebooted over and over again for about half an hour several times. After unplugging its power source entirely it rebooted five times. And yes, I've tried another cable (it didn't make any difference).

Re: v6rc14 released

Even with low load »bridge-local« keeps disappearing , resulting in my RouterBoard becoming unusable. Furthermore, after that a »link local« doesn't get assigned to »bridge-local« even if I removed all link local addresses and rebooted the router. I believe it is the same bug that has been reported ...

Re: ISPs PPTP server has the same IP as router.

what do you mean by "one establishing the link"? Is it the IP-address given by DHCP from ISP cable? replace my 192.168.0.1 by your 10.126.65.1 (gateway) replace my 192.168.3.30 by your 10.126.65.34 (out-facing IP) replace my 55.55.55.55 by your 10.40.40.1 (PPTP endpoint) I hope that helps.

Re: ISPs PPTP server has the same IP as router.

[...]When I try to establish PPTP connection to the provider, it makes the loop connection with the router itself. […] I know that problem firsthand. You need to define a »bypass-route« and a corresponding mangle-rule having a »new-routing-mark=pptp-bypass«. For example, with 55.55.55.55 being your...

Re: Failover Scanrio

In IP→Routes (and IPv6→Routes) you define two routes to 0.0.0.0/0 via the given gateways.

Give the fallback-route a greater value for ›distance‹ than your primary route has and you're done.

  • sending emails using IPv6 SMTP server doesn't work
  • restricting access to IPv6 subnets in IP → Services doesn't work
  • L7-filters not available for IPv6

Perhaps you can utilize RouterOS' accounting feature?

Re: The Dude starts in infinite loop at »choose language«

Thank you, Ronaldoo! I've had to start it as „Administrator“ — which is quite ridiculous.

The Dude turns out not to be able connect to devices via IPv6. Therefore it is of no use to me.

The Dude starts in infinite loop at »choose language«

I've installed The Dude v4.0beta3 and it seems to be in an infinite loop when starting, asking me »choose language« over and over again.

Do you know any workarounds?

Re: v6rc14 released

With about 1'000 connections or more bridge-local will disappear all of the sudden. Hey Mark -- I'm very interested in this problem. Using an RB2011L-RM on 6.0rc14, I experience very intermittent (~weekly) loss of the router (completely unresponsive to ping, won't route traffic, etc.). I'm wonderin...

Re: Automatically forward Traffic to Netflix/Hulu via OVPN

As I understand it well. If I will not add Entry2 it will work for every application yes?
Yes, entry 1 alone will route everything originating from host 192.168.0.111 via the VPN. ›Always‹ as in no-matter-which application.

Re: Discover Public IP

Create and periodically run a script. You could run it whenever your WAN-connections goes down, too, of course. /system script add name=HE_tunnel_update policy=\ ftp, read, write, policy, test, winbox, sniff, sensitive, api \ source=":local HEtunnelid \"123456\"\r\ \n:local HEuserid \"my...

6to4 interfaces stopped working. A first setup will work and, after modifying it—even reverting the changes or deleting everything altogether—, it will break and no connection will be made. … routes to those interfaces are rejected (address not reachable or the like is the error message). Re: Automatically forward Traffic to Netflix/Hulu via OVPN

After the connection to the VPN server has been established you will be given an IP-address and a new route to a new host. It will look like this (please note entry DAC / 77.xxx.xxx.xxx with distance 0 ): route-list.png Depending on your VPN you could even get more routes than a single one to a lone...
