Re: Intel 82599ES 10Gig card and SFP+ modules compatibility

I'm in the same boat, except I'm using a Ubiquity 10G (UF-SM-10G) in mikrotik (works perfectly) and in the Intel X520 (Incompatible)

Conclusion: Don't buy an Intel PCI card which is locked down by bad firmware and/or hardware restraints.

Re: how to select interface for PPTP/SSTP tunnels

I know this is an old post but this is the only relative thing in a google search. For anyone else having the same issue wanting to route 2 different PPTP connections through seperate gateways, on your PPTP server you can setup port redirection in NAT. This allows you to connect to 2 different ports...

Re: Routing between networks

There are no firewall rules in place.

/ip firewall nat print
/ip firewall filter print

both return empty tables.

Re: default gateway

I did this using winbox.

Go to IP -> Route -> Add.

Dst. Address: 0.0.0.0/0 (This means the default route)
Gateway: 200.x.x.x (The IP of the ISP you want to use as the default route)

Leave everything else as-is and click ok.

Routing between networks

Here's my problem; The router can ping 10.0.0.2 and 10.90.90.90 but the computer 10.0.0.2 can not reach 10.90.90.90 (the trace-route ends at the router) My route table; [A-Active, D-Dynamic, C-Connect] DST-ADDR|PREF-SRC|GATEWAY|DISTANCE ADC|10.0.0.0/24|10.0.0.1|ether12|0 ADC|10.90.90.0/24|10.90.90.1...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Why 16 GB RAM? Why not? I like this guy :) I got the CCR1036-12G-4S yesterday. I've been playing around with it in winbox for a few hours and I love everything about it. Using BGP routing which I will find out the performance within the next few weeks. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to router...
