Just activate proxy-arp on wan and lan interface and then give those IP from PPPoE like a /32 type it in REMOTE ADDRESS when create pppoe users! 1. Do you want me activate proxy-arp on ether1 or on the bridge with ether1 and ether2? 2. I've put a.a.a.228 under remote address. 3. What should I put w...

Re: how to stop receiving multicast

This is what I get. All in black is my WAN IP. Is this the address that makes me troubles (40:8d:5c..)? It is under "Src:" on every line.

Re: how to stop receiving multicast

There are few other routers on the same WAN, Mikrotik and Cisco. I can see them in my neighbor list. Is there any way I can block this traffic? No. The device your router is connected to on its WAN interface must perform the filtering out of unwanted multicast streams. Well that sucks. I called the...

Re: how to stop receiving multicast

Traffic is received on WAN interface. Traffic is just on the WAN interface and nowhere else. Even if I remove all clients or shut down my pppoe server multicast traffic is on. And probably this is what is happening: Exception - There is another host on your WAN segment (not your router) which has jo...

Re: how to stop receiving multicast

I did NOT had multicast package installed. However now I've upgraded my CCR to 6.36.2 and have IGMP proxy but have no idea what to do with it. Problem still stays the same. I am buying 100Mbps and 60 are going to this multicasting so I am freaking out. Every possible solution is welcomed. :(

solution: put eth1 (wan /29 input) in bridge with the port you want to put server and add one IP address to that bridge instead of eth1 (leave eth1 without IP) . Add next address from /29 input to your server.

make a bridge interface. put all interface for public IP's in the bridge, and you should be ready to rock.

IPs you need add to those servers not to ports.

I have the same problem over here with RB1100Hx2 with simple pppoe server and only few pppoe connections. Router reboot itself once in a few days.
Any solution beside changing my RAM?

Re: RouterBOARD SXT:: what max distance with max thr/put?

11km with sextant show stable 80mbps udp testing speed between wireless cards. cpu at that time 100%. testing with computers on both sides will show more for sure. So if are asking me then use sextant for 10-15km. never had this good result with sxt tho.

Re: Basic Configuration

We've installed it at 8km distance in very noisy environment, link pass trough biggest TV station over here, and wlan bandwidth test shows stable 50mbps, CPU 100% on both ends.
