Re: MPLS-TE tunnels not established [SOLVED]

You need to run RSVP protocol on cisco interfaces too, otherwise resource reservation along the path will not be possible. Also depending on what Te tunnel path type you are using, if CSPF is used then you also need to configure OSPF on Cisco to work with CSPF Thank you very much ! After enable RSV...

MPL TE RouterOS as PE/CE cisco as backbone lab

Hello again everyone, I'd like to follow up on my MPLS learning and testing, first of all to tell you that I got the simulated and real scenarios depicted here: MPLS+ BGP VPLS now VLANs over the MPLS backbone Devices: (all running MPLS) 2 Cisco 2821 (these are the LSR) 1 CCR1009 > LER 1 CRS125 > LER...

Re: MPLS LAB Mikrotik as PEs and cisco as LSRs

If you can ping web-sites, but you're unable to visit them, it's most likely an MTU issue from experience. On the Mikrotiks you need to ensure you have an MPLS MTU of at least 1530 to allow an MTU of 1500 on VPLS. I think you need to setup that even higher if you have tagged ethernet on the VPLS......

MPLS LAB Mikrotik as PEs and cisco as LSRs

Hello everyone. Basically I setup this MPLS topology first on EVE-NG, then live on my lab, the two cisco RTRs (2821) and RouterBOARDS all connected and able to ping each other, as per the picture; OSPF, MPLS and BGP peering work fine, I setup VPLS static tunnels between R1 and RB_206, added them to ...

can you tell what did not work? Maybe I can update article you are mentioning with your updated version? Janis, Sorry to jump in on this old post, but it is definitely the only script that worked for my on v6.32 (v6.x), I tried both of them at the wiki with no luck. I wanted to register at the wiki...

[SOLVED] - Cable modem, multiple dynamic public IPs through one cable.

Ok everyone, this was an easy fix, As @troffasky suggested, I went ahead and implemented it and it did the trick, that's what VLANs are for, aren't they?. Here's what I did, it may server for anyone interested or facing this same issue, different approaches or scenarios, but at the end of the day, V...

Re: Cable modem, multiple dynami public IPs through one cable.

@troffasky, now, that's what I'm talking about, I didn't put it in the right way there, but here's what I think. Setup the Arris <> MT with three untagged access ports connected to the Arris, tag the trunk port with eg: vlan1, vlan2, vlan3, connect the trunk-clae to the downstairs MT's trunk port wh...

[SOLVED] - Cable modem, multiple dynamic public IPs through one cable.

Hello there guys, Ihave the following scenario and want expert input on the problem I'm facing. I have the ISP 4 Ethernet-port cable modem in bridge mode, apparently due to setup or bug -- who knows -- this device gives away public IPs on each of the ports. I want to exploit this and I tried connect...

Training: I'd like to be a certified trainer.

Hi all, I'm very enthusiastic about becoming a Miktoik certified trainer and startgiving classes here in Colombia. As a side note -- I even ditched ccna classes to focus only on Mikrotik. I did a presentation on Port Based VLANS at Bogota's 2015 MUM and after that hundreds of teaching proposals have...

Re: 6.31 released

@normis, Thanks for the announcement, I just opened the CCR1009 I got from you after my presentation at the MUM and I'll test 6.31 ASAP. I'll leave my CRS with the reliable 6.28 as it's serving some clients after I test with CCR, I'll switch and let you know. Finally it's great to know that the CHR ...

Re: CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ General info & Questions

at max it is small office and Home-office (where noise is big problem
the CCR1009 has the power to run a medium sized ISP, so, I don't agree to the above.
I agree 100% with Normis, these products are ISP grade products.

Re: Comments about RouterOS release schedule

+1. it's fine by me, I think it's a great way of keeping track of what you're using and what to expect from net ROS versions. And as you mention a wa for people to upgrade according to their needs, for instance "6.30.3, Ok, a must for my production router" or "6.31, this will go into my lab's CRS to...

[VIDEO] Mikrotik and Cisco OSPF tutorial

Hello everyone,

I just made another video of my personal labs and tests here at home and I'd like to share it with you.

In this video I'll try to explain the easiest way I found to implement dynamic routing between ROS and a Cisco 2821 router.

Enjoy
Have a nice day!.

Hi, I've got the RB493AH with two WANs setup to load balance and quasi-bonding these two WANs but one of them has amazing upload speed which the other one lacks so I know I could achieve those using QoS queues, to direct all uploads/outgoing traffic through one of the links failing over to the slowe...
