Non-responsive RB2011iLS-IN

I have a RB2011iLS-IN router that seems to be un-responsive. It will not load the web config, winbox, or telnet or ssh. The Internet services being provided through that device are working just fine, but I can't access it. I'm currently 5 hours from the device, are there any other tricks I can try t...

Re: SXT Connection Question

But I do agree, things seem to work better if it's just MirkoTik stuff or Ubiquiti, and I'm leaning towards Ubiquiti products

Re: SXT Connection Question

The network (not mine) is made up of Ubiquiti and MikroTik products and has great success. AirMax isn't enabled on the Rocket, if it was the MikroTik wouldn't be able to connect.

SXT Connection Question

One of my customers has a SXT2 as CPE, the AP is Ubiquiti Rocket M2, at times his Internet will become non responsive, during those times traceroute to our core router just times out, after a minute or so it will function as normal. The connection to the AP is holding fine during this period. Today ...

No DHCP when wlan disabled

I've got a RB751U-2HnD up until now I've been using the wireless AP on that device, however I now wish to disable it, I disabled wlan1 in interfaces and when I do I no longer get DHCP from the device, it's just the "out of the box" configuration. I just want to use it as router without wir...

Remote Winbox Access

Have a question about remote winbox access. We provide Internet services through a Fiber and Wireless Network, the owners are part of a collective of local Country Governments so they don't resell services, just manage the network. We have a RB2011LS that handles traffic for all of our customers, mo...

Samsung GS3 & 721U-2HnD

Info: MikroTik 751U-2HnD setup as Wireless AP, 2467, 2Ghz-B/G/N, 20Mhz. No issues until recently. I was in NOVA at my grandparents for a week and he also has the same router with the same configuration, I had no issues before I left and no issues while I was there, but when I got back home my GS3 wi...

License Level Upgrade

It seems to be very hard to get a straight forward answer. I have a Groove 2Hn Level 3, I'd like to upgrade to Level 4 for AP use and would like to know how much the upgrade cost is.

Groove Level 4 can be purchased for $68. Trying to compare new purchase vs. upgrade cost.

Thanks

Re: Groove 2Hn - No Ethernet Response

I was able to reset with holding down the reset button and plugging in the PoE line to the Groove.

It reset and now has Ethernet activity.

Weird.

Could leaving Winbox open been the issue or possibly an unrelated failure?

Groove 2Hn - No Ethernet Response

I've been having some issues lately with our wireless connection dropping, I left winbox open last night with the log up to see if there was any issues throughout the night. Woke up this morning and had no communication to the Groove, checked it at the site and it was detecting signal but there was ...

Re: New Ethernet port flap issue enquiery, PLS JOIN!

I'm having a similar problem with my Groove 2Hn. It doesn't drop the ethernet connection but it won't connect at 100M. It will only run at 10Mbps Full Duplex. This has happened with 2 different Groove 2Hns with RouterOS 5.25 I've emailed MikroTik support on a different issue but any advice on the 10...

RB711-2HnD Dead?

I was doing a wireless install today and at the first the radio, RB711-2HnD worked fine, only it couldn't find any of the AP's during a wireless scan, with radio pointed directly at the tower with a completely unobstructed line of sight. I than tried to update the firmware as they are a little out o...

PoE Extender Question

I've got a wireless installation that will require a PoE Extender. I'm planning on using a CopperLink 2110/P. Radio is a RB711-2HnD in a IT ELITE SRA24014 DUAL - 14dBi panel antenna 2,4GHz shell. My question is how far into the Cat5e run should I employ the Extender? Thanks Edit: Total Cat5e run fro...

Groove 2Hn locked after configuration

I have a Groove 2Hn that we use as a client for our wireless connection, I noticed that after I configured it, in Winbox via terminal, that after I closed Winbox I was locked out of the Groove. I can't get in via the web config or via Winbox, even with my computer set to a static address on the same...

Ok so you're saying to give my PC the same address as the Groove? 192.168.88.1?

And no I don't have FireFox on any of my computers... I use Chrome or Opera.

Re: Cannot access Groove 2hn once setup for Wireless

I am directly wired to it. The Groove is up on a hill, powered by POE, POE to Radio, LAN to House, I was plugged into the Lan port so it's directly wired to the radio. Winbox discovers it and the AP's, but when I try to connect it just times out, immediately. I can bring up the WebConfig for the AP,...

When connected to the LAN port on the POE while running the dude I see lots of address, my IP is 10.4.4.31 and the Gateway is 10.4.4.1, which I do see in the Dude but still can't access it.

We have wireless internet, due to distance we use a Groove 2Hn with a Parabolic Antenna, problem I'm having is accessing the Groove after it's been configured for the wireless. I have a script from the Network Admin for setting up radios, I used it to setup the Groove and it worked quite well, but I...
