WIFI Bridge with two SXT : fine tuning, bandwith looks a bit low

Hi guys, I m using two SXT to do a wifi bridge. It works like a charm, but i'm far away from the theory in term of bandwith Anyone here has any config he did on his wireless that is "optimized" as much as possible, to have the best bandwith possible? What do you use? 802.1, nstreme etc ? I...

Re: IPSec succeeds but L2TP fails to establish - client lonely

As far as i m concerned, it works perfectly on my router, so i'll try to explain my setup First : PPP > Interface, click on L2TP Server Enable, same for USE IPSEC and put a ipsec key there Then : Create a user, with service : L2TP local and remote adress and a route Let's say your transport block is...

Re: Port Isolation

You don't even have to bother with vlan man. Let's say your modem is connected on port 1, and your pppoe configured on it. To separate everyone, just bridge the port you want Let's say port 2 and 3 need to be "together", just bridge them in a bridge called bridge-lan1 For port 4 and 5, bri...

Hey guys!!! :D

Same thing here, setup the L2TP IPSEC with the MKT and realised people can connect without using the ipsec at all... making it not secure at all :p

Found anything on how to "force" it ?

Thanks ;)

Re: Is SXT 2 or SXT Lite2 appropriate for connecting outdoor cameras

As far as i m concerned, those AP works really well and should be able to make wifi bridge up to 2km. So you should be fine, but maybe contact a salesman for that kind of information. I m pretty sure DUXTEL (australian vendor), has a tool online to check that kind of thing, you should give it a look...

I m not a smart guy... ;) Didn't think about the broadcast on the moment when i wrote that, thought about it after, so clearly eoip is not a good idea. I'll certainly go for a L2TP IPSEC tunnel between those two site and route the traffic.

Thanks for the answers guys

Yeah, vpn could be a solution, but since it's on a end user, not really "good"with computers, it's adding some complexity, and if i could , iwould love to make it work with NAT As far as i checked, the port use for RSTP is 554, and there is a mjpeg over http port 8008 too. I m going to try...

Just create a SCRIPT, named NOTES (or whatever, you can have separates notes), and write inside, even if the script doesn't work you don't care as long as you don't schedule it :)

Just by adding the addresses to the internet, allows the router to route between them. You should not need anything addition to do that. Pinging 2.2.2.2 from 1.1.1.2 should work just fine. But these will be separate broadcast networks. If you are needing broadcasts to go between the interfaces, you...

The client on port 2 get the 141 dhcp as you can see in the config, and those on the 3 get the 142.

Everyone on the same subnet can talk to each other, there is no problem about that.
