Re: Problem with low-rate internet radio stream

Hi Lendy, No, I never did solve the problem. I've tried every ROS release from 6.1 (default out of the box) to 6.11, but it never went away. My support ticket about this problem got bounced around between MT techs for months, but never resolved. I spoke to one of the US-based Mikrotik consultants li...

Bug in 6.3rc1 webfig with IP > Addresses > Interface

In 6.3rc1, I am seeing an issue in trying to change the interface in IP > Addresses using Webfig. On my RB951G, the default configuration for IP >Addresses has two lines by default -- the dynamic address from the ISP (number = 1, below) and the address for the local network (number = 0). For the sak...

Re: Login to RB 750 via https

Hello, Sorry to resurrect an old-ish thread, but I followed the instructions on that wiki page and I still have trouble getting in via https. In System > Certificates, I can see the imported certificate with "KR" in the first column and Trusted="yes" in the last. But when I point my browser to https...

"DHCP server" checkbox unexpected behavior on QuickSet

In both Webfig and Winbox, there's a "DHCP Server" checkbox under the LAN/WLAN block of the Quick Set panel. With a default install of ROS 6.2 on a RB951G, this box is unchecked by default. But I get DHCP-issued addresses on both wired (ether2 through ether5) and wireless (wlan). These seem to be co...

Problem with low-rate internet radio stream

Hi all, I have a weird problem with my RB951G (RouterOS 6.1) and certain internet radio streams. Setup is as follows: [Cable modem]---(ethernet cable)---[RB951G port 1, interface = ether1-gateway] [A/V stereo receiver]---(ethernet cable)---[RB951G port 3, interface = ether3-slave-local (master port ...

Groups and bridging

Hi all, I have an A/V stereo receiver with some built-in networking functions (streaming radio, etc.) that has issues with my RB951G (connection timeouts, audio dropouts during streaming, etc.). These issues go away immediately when I swap in a cheap consumer-grade Belkin router, so I'm trying to de...

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

Currently, the auto upgrade feature only shows minor revisions. If you have v5.xx it will only show v5.xx+1 To upgrade to a major revision, like the v6, you must upload this package in the Files menu, and reboot: http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.1/routeros-mipsbe-6.1.npk Thanks -- that did ...

Re: RouterOS 6.1 released

Anyone having trouble with routerboot upgrade? It shows I am out of date but upgrading does not change the current version. No error message, nothing in log. Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I can't figure out how to upgrade my 951G-2HnD from 5.25 to 6.1 at all . Using WebFig, System > Pac...
