Re: Setting IP

Have a read of this: http://www.mikrotik.com/documentation/manual_2.5/IP/Address.html#ip_address_add I get the jist of what you're asking but am unsure how you wan't to execute it/what equipment you have at your disposal. If the above article doesn't help, post a bit more detail and I'll be happy to...

Re: Block Whatsapp

BTW: easy mode would be to Google around and see if anyone else has done it. Sometimes publishers even have a write up on how to do so for school admins etc.

Re: Default route and dynamic IP from provider

How interesting, are you able to publish your router's config? You can use the 'export' command on the cli to dump it.

Re: Routing 2 ISP in same network

The easy answer is to utilise both routers, but I don't really know what setup you have. Are you able to draw a network diagram of what is currently in place? From my understanding, you have two routers, each with a connection to the internet. So, if you have all clients you want to go out connectio...

Re: PPTP default gateway Problem

Default gateway=0.0.0.0?

Do you mean you have a default route 0.0.0.0/0 pointing at something?

If you still need to point it at something:
/ip route add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=<GW IP address>
or
/ip route add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=<GW interface>

Re: PPTP client configuration

What is the issue? Is traffic not being forwarded? What are you trying to do? I can see from the images that your device is able to connect to the PPTP server and its network is reachable. I am attempting to set up a PPTP server myself, at the moment, but for some reason it won't forward traffic. I ...

Re: Block Whatsapp

Hard mode: Try using the packet sniffer on the router to find how whatsapp communicates and then block it with the firewall. I haven't used the packet sniffer on RouterOS, but looking at it quickly, I would set whatsapp up on a control device and then filter the packet sniffer on the interface you'r...

Re: Default route and dynamic IP from provider

Did you set <my gateway> to your IP address? /ip route add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=<my gateway IP> If so, point it at the actual interface. For example, my default route would be: /ip router add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=ether1-gateway This way, when your lease expires or you reset your mo...

Re: Routing 2 ISP in same network

As said above, configure the gateway on those devices. This will also let you control who goes out what. Why don't you split the networks and have routing between them? I imagine you want to have hosts contact each other but some users go out through one pipe and other users (I'm guessing you're hog...

Re: Cant boor touterboard after upgrade

What does it do when booting? Do you get the option to brake the boot process?

Maybe try formatting the NAND memory and use netinstall again to attempt a "clean" install?

Routing traffic from one WLAN different to another

Hello, I am attempting to configure two WLANs in my house, where one will use my normal gateway and "enter" the internet from my local IP address and where the other WLAN routes all traffic through a L2TP connection across to a server I have running in the US - where it will "enter" the internet. So...
