Actually I solved the problem. When I've connected the 3G modem into USB port, it started to work and the USB port appeared in the list :-) The ports aren't visible when the don't have a connection hooked up.

CCR1036-12G-4S and 10GB

From documentation it is not very clear. Will CCR1036-12G-4S router work with 10Gb SFP+ cable, at the rate of 10Gb ? I want to connect this router to a switch : Quanta LB6M using this type of SFP+ cable : S+DA0003. Will such configuration work ?

Mikrotik should move toward big enterprise, they can provide a broader range of possibilities than cisco/juniper and keep the price lower in the same time. Very good idea, but as mpreissner pointed out we need official support for this. Big enterprise likes high availability, big enterprise = big money ;-)

I tried to connect (using USB cable) to this UPS : APC SMT2200I, but it didn't succeeded. The status of link is always "invalid". My Mikrotik router is : CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+

I want my router to monitor the status of UPS. Any help on how to do this will be greatly appreciated

Ok, I solved the problem. My mikrotik is working as DNS server, but because of miss-configuration it was open to the public internet. A lot of people started to use it, it received thousands of requests per second, the switch port (from provider) is shutting down itself when there are too much traff...

barkas, Why shouldn't I use Mikrotik switches ? They provide me 24 ports which works at the wire speed, beside this I have access to router features (as you said). What is bad in this ? cisco is much better than mikrotik. RouterOS is quite buggy compared to IOS, if you are dealing with serious business stick to cisco, you will sleep better at night

I don't know if I understand you right, but I have the same issue. When I install one SFP module into my CCR1036-12G-4S all 4 leds of SFP modules start to blink. Logically it must blink only one led, that where I connected my SFP module. Seems to be another RouterOS bug.

scottniven, What do you mean "I fixed my problem with it by editing the ISO file" ? What exactly did you changed in the .iso file ?

No one will use your "custom modified" .iso file, probably you placed some malware in there.

I'm one of attendees of MUM which has been held on August 23 in Moldova. The guys from Mikrotik told that the attendees will receive their free RouterOS in the evening or Monday. But until now (Tuesday evening) I didn't received mine. Can someone explain what is going on ?
