Re: [ATTACHED] Mikrotik Rack-mounted Devices Visio Stencils

Hello guys/girls, sorry for the delay. I'm very very very busy these days.

I'm working on a project which will require some updates on this stencils.

When I've got it, I'll put it on GitHub so it will be easier to download/update.

Feature Request: Actually it's possible to get a total number of active PPPoE sessions via SNMP using this OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.150.1.1.1.0 But if we could get this number in a per interface (or PPPoE Server name) basis, should help to detect and troubleshoot issues when using Mikrotik routers as B...

Are there any plans for v4...
e.g. CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+
Can you please take a frontal picture of one CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+, in the highest resolution possible

Don't need to be perfect. Just to match some details in the drawing.

Re: [ATTACHED] Mikrotik Rack-mounted Devices Visio Stencils

Thanks. But why do you make it impossible to edit the shapes? I want to create a new one for CRS317 from a copy of the CCR1016 shape. But no chance. :-(
I draw on Illustrator then imported the shapes to Visio, because drawing in Visio is pure PITA.

I'll add CRS317 in the next version.

[Feature Request] Run script from LCD

Please put an option that allow us to run user-created scripts from LCD-featured Routerboards, like a button. For example: 1) We create a script called "Change_IP" in Winbox, that makes a reconnection in a PPPoE, or a DHCP renew, for example. 2) Add it to LCD menu. 3) When needed, we just run it fro...

Remote filesystems on RouterOS

Mikrotik features a SMB server, using local storage.

There's any way (or plan to introduce this feature) of mounting remote filesystems (NFS or iSCSI Initiator) on RouterOS?

I know that RouterOS is not a storage server, but may be useful under certain situations.

The LCD doesn't refresh bandwidth stats with PPP interfaces on RB2011 series if the interface goes down then up again. Never worked for me.
The LCD freezes with "no link".
When not, it does not shows bandwidth stats again, until a reboot.

Re: Feature Request: DNS Override for specific subnets

I agree that, even RouterOS being a router, it should have a well-featured DNS server (not like BIND9 or MS-DNS).

It should have a better integration with DHCP for hostnames too.

Re: v6.13 released!

Found a problem with Proxy ARP.
RouterOS is delivering his own MAC Address to clients even when it does not know the route to the destination.

Issue described here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=85054

Happened again, even with IP address set and without default route configured.

This only happens from time to time. Everything worked fine for 17 days until today.

Any chance of having this fixed in 6.14?

I don't know your complete config but proxy-arp does not respond to ARP requests on (say) Ether X if those ARP requests are for addresses in the range A.B.C.D/Y and RouterOS itself has an address in that range on Ether X unless RouterOS also has the requested address on another interface (e.g. a lo...

hm... ok. In wiki about ARP: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/ARP#Proxy_ARP It says: Since the router knows that the target address (172.16.2.3) is on another subnet but it can reach Host D, it replies with its own MAC address to Host A. If you mean:

Does not solve the problem.

I'm using Proxy ARP on port ether9 in my RB2011UiAS-RM to workaround a problem with Virtual Machines in motion between our two offices. Each office have their own subnet (10.1.0.0/16 and 10.2.0.0/16). When a VM is moved from Office1 to Office2 (and versa-vice), the VM continues working without chang...

Allow grouping/categorization of stuff (NAT rules, static routes, etc) in WinBox for better organization. Searching for specific rules in middle of dozens/hundreds takes a lot of time (with the risk of picking up the wrong one). Rule comments only worsens the situation.

Simple static route not working as expected

Hello all,

I`m new to Routing/Mikrotik in general.

My question is simple. Consider the following scenario:

What am I doing wrong, that PC #1 can't reach PC #2 and PC #2 can't reach nobody

Thanks in advance.
