Re: Routerboard configuration as WiFi client

I would personally do the following (with Winbox starting from stock configuration): 1. Connect to a LAN port of the RB2011 with cable 2. Exclude the Wi-Fi interface from the bridge - Bridge -> Ports -> Delete the Wi-Fi interface 3. Include the Ether1 interface in the bridge - Bridge - Ports -> Open...

Re: Route Routerboard's outgoing PPTP client connection

Thank you for your feedback ak4020! In fact I was able to route the PPTP client to my backup WAN by placing a static route to the IP address, but that creates a couple of issues; 1. When the PPTP server is a hostname with a dynamic IP, the static route makes any sense only until the IP address of th...

Route Routerboard's outgoing PPTP client connection

Hello everyone!
I have a Routerboard with two independent, masqueraded WAN connections - main and backup. I would like to set up a PPTP Client interface, but to route it through the backup WAN despite of the primary WAN availability.
Which would be the most elegant way to do that?

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN very slow Ethernet bridge

Hello! I posted no update, because I had other issues with my NAS (failed SSD) and I managed to make some more tests just yesterday. I can confirm that enabling flow control improves the situation a lot. The most probable reason for the issues, however, is driver instability of the rtl8125b chipset ...

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN very slow Ethernet bridge

I tried all three combinations, but that doesn't seem to have effect. With flow control switched on I'm able to reach 1 Gbps but it's not very stable - it drops from time to time. When I use the RB260GS or the TP-Link the result is extremely stable 1 Gbps. The CPU load never reached 10% so that's no...

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN very slow Ethernet bridge

Hello! Thanks again for all the inputs. I did some more tests with an old gigabit TP-LINK WR1043ND and with just a switch - RB260GS. I have no explanation on the results: With or without hardware offloading on both my RB4011 and RB2011 I manage to reach something around 150-200 MBit/s With direct ca...

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN very slow Ethernet bridge

Thank you very much for the inputs! I made some more tests, but I cannot understand the results: 1. I reset the configuration of the RB4011. I leave only two devices connected to the bridge and I receive these results: 4011_default_conf.jpg 2. I set the protocol to none and I get the same results: 4...

RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN very slow Ethernet bridge

Hello everyone! After installing my new NAS I was very surprised to find out that the maximum bandwidth between the devices connected to the LAN bridge of my RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN is extremely low with iperf results rarely exceeding 150 Mbit/s. At the same time WAN speed is almost 1 Gbit/s! I decid...

Re: WAP LTE kit and port SMS

I finally received feedback from the support!
I updated to v6.43rc56 and this seems to fix the functionality to send and receive through the console! The Winbox v3,16 tool still doesn't work (maybe the new version), but that's not so important.

Yes, I've wrote to the support one week ago and I received no answer, apart from the automatic reply.

Hello antonsb, Thanks for your input. Unfortunately this doesn't resolve the issue: [admin@MikroTik] /tool sms> set port=lte1 [admin@MikroTik] /tool sms> send phone-number=0882340800 message=test failure: missing port value [admin@MikroTik] /tool sms> send phone-number=0882340800 message=test port=l...

Re: WAP LTE kit and port SMS

Hello! Is there any progress on that topic, as I am having the exactly same issue - lte modem is not listed under /port print and I cannot send SMS? I updated the RouterOS (6.42.4), board firmware and modem firmware (MikroTik_CP_2.160.000_v008). This is a huge issue for me, as I'm using a prepaid se...

2 WANs and port forwarding

Thank you for the reply.
But how can I set up the SNTP client to connect at different port in unicast mode?

Port 123 Blocked - any workaround?

Hello!

My ISP is filtering all traffic through port 123 and I cannot automatically sync the date and time of my RouterBoard.
It is very annoying...
Can you give me an idea for a workaround (if such actually exists...)

Thanks!
