Re: Webinterface of Remote PtP AP Bridge no longer accessible

Thank you mkx,

for testing, the "remote" PtP AP Bridge is on my desk and connected to my laptop using the ethernet port. I did not check wireless yet.

Re: Webinterface of Remote PtP AP Bridge no longer accessible

Thank you Sob,

I also tried Winbox and tried to access the already known MAC address with no success. As soon as I click Apply to switch to PtP bridge AP mode the device cannot be found using either IP or MAC address. Its green LED is blinking but that its only way to communicate with me :-(

Re: Webinterface of Remote PtP AP Bridge no longer accessible

Hello. unfortunately, I got no reply. I would like to describe my problem much shorter. I started my new SXTsq Lite5 (SXTsqG-5acD) with newest firmware connected using ethernet to my laptop. IP address 192.168.88.1. CPE mode is set by factory. Everything fine. Using webfig and Quick Set page, I chan...

Webinterface of Remote PtP AP Bridge no longer accessible

Good morning, I am running for 5 years now Point-to-Point connection using two SXT Lite 5 (802.11) to a remote building, distance is 30m. Re: Quickly varying wireless communication rates

Dear pukkita, dear docmarius, thank you for your explanations and support. I changed frequency to 40 MHz width 5300/5320 (channel 60-64) as this band is totally free of interferences, there are only two other access points at 5180/5200 and 5220/5240. I also disabled higher data rates as suggested by...

Re: Quickly varying wireless communication rates

Dear pukkita,
thank you very much for this explanation. I greatly appreciate your support and will follow the approach you proposed.
One interesting thing: why is only RX affected, not TX? At both devices (the device connected to cable and the device in my home).
Anyway, thanks again!

Quickly varying wireless communication rates

Hi, I use two SXT5 lite to connect to a cable internet on the other side of the road (20 m distance). Everything is running fine for two years now, TX rates are pretty stable, but RX rates are quickly varying between 120 MBit/s and 6 Mbit/s. I supply an animated gif for illustration. I would be very...

Best and most simple option to connect two networks

Hello, I am already connecting to a wlan access point (a standard wlan router in network 1 with cable access) using a SXT Lite5 as a CPE as a router for network 2 in station mode. About 10 devices are working in each network. Technically, this is doing fine but I had too many retransmissions deterio...

it is possible. You have to write a script for it. Examples are given in wiki.

Re: Converting String to two integers

SurferTim, thank you very much. So I will have to manually break up the string into pieces and convert the parts to integer values. Then I will have to detect whether those pieces contain "bps" oder "kpbs" or "mbps" and multiply the preceding values accordingly by 1/1000/1E6. Yes, this should be pos...

Re: Update 6.7 to 6.9 on SXT5/lite breaks Quick Set Window

Dear normis, sure, this picture is fine as it stems from your demo server and not from my SXT5. Currently, I have no access to my SXT5 so I tried to illustrate my behaviour using your demo server as an example. Nevertheless, I will clear browser cache this evening but expect no change because right ...

[solved] Update 6.7 to 6.9 on SXT5 breaks Quick Set Window

Hello mikrotik-users, after updating from 6.7 to 6.9 on SXT5/lite in CPE Mode everything seems to be fine. Functionality is ok, wireless communication to access point is fine. However, the update broke the left part of right window in Quick Set Menu. That is, for example in http://demo.mt.lv/webfig/...

Re: Accessing public ftp server from LAN behind Mikrotik rou

I would like to post my new results. I altered the MikroTik configuration from router to bridge mode. Now ftp uploading is flawless. This is another strong hint that NAT implementation in SXT 5 lite has an ftp issue. Edit: Another observation of bridge mode is an amazing improvement in browsing spee...

Re: Accessing public ftp server from LAN behind Mikrotik rou

Today, I tried an alternative configuration. I attached an ASUS RTn16 Router with DDWRT to the second WAN input of my DualWAN Router. So I am able to subsequently test internet access using either Mikrotik or Asus RTN16 to find out whether the ftp uploading problem is caused by Mikrotik SXT5 Lite CP...

Re: Questions about Sxt Lite 5 as CPE client

Hello, I am using SXT Lite 5 as CPE client as well. My AP is a Fritzbox 7390 in about 30m distance. I got SXT Lite 5 running but I am experiencing terrible upload speed of just 0.5 - 1.5 MBit to AP. My download speed (AP to SXT Lite 5) is at least 10 times higher. This has been measured with JPerf. ...
