for your normal x86 installs 64bit kernel will break things. This is why it is not offered for current standard RouterOS relaese. 6.31 had a bug, where one could select between 32bit or 64bit kernel, however, you are not gaining much if anything and all the userspace is still 32bit. Re: GEPON solution?

Hi, I've been researching GEPON solutions and would want to know if there is someone with this working on Mikrotik hardware. I've seen several threads (some from 2012) with this question. The conclusion of those was that a special SFP that implemented GEPON was needed, but there was little more inf...

Actual it would be great to see that this Finisar SFP transceivers would be working with RouterOS to surround
the lack of support or better to start the support.

what advise for optimise Queu tree?
Perhaps sometimes in the future an device behind the
CCR-10xx, but also sorted with Tilera many Core CPU
and many ECC RAM so called a "Queue handler" where
all your Queues will be externally stored and this device
is only for the Queues handling!

I don't see the EdgeRouter Series as a real alternative to the CCR Series. I consider to that meaning, but the Edge Router series is fully 100% compatible to their own equipment, likes their switch series too. MikroTik is using and offering to their clients the HWMP (HWMplus) protocol as I see this...

You are right it was a mistake of mine.

I also found nothing only a block diagram inside the official MikroTik brochure:

Do that memories could be used to store RouterOS update?
The nand is more for the system itselfs, called RouterOS and the
SD card slots are mostly can be used for logfile storages.

Hi there, I want to move from RB1000 to RB1100 or CCR. I've noticed that RB1000 and RB1100 series has very small system disk. Is there any possibility to upgrade RouterOS using external microSD on RB1100x2? What is the CCR system disk's size? I think; CCR - microSD card slot 1100AHx2 - microSD card...

Did you flushed or wiped out, the default configuration, where the eth1 or LAN Port 1 is the WAN Port?
Or did you use this default config and used it to set up your Router?

Hello Kristijan,

please try out load balancing in combination with policy based routing in combination with

Dear Mikrotik, are you planning to release CRS switches with two SFP interfaces?
+1 from me for that too. And on top, if you are working it out a nice CRS1072-24S with 24 SFP ports
would also be a good idea.
