Re: Add VoIP Support

I'm not sure why Mikrotik should implement an ALG for SCCP protocol since Cisco has moved their SPA series phones and most of their other devices to SIP protocol. SIP is the accepted standard for a while. SCCP is slowly being retired. I use Mikrotik's implementation of ALG and it works fine for me. ...

Re: TCP SIP ALG

RouterOS's implementation of SIP ALG applies to TCP and UDP.
The option "sip-timeout" only applies to UDP because of the nature of UDP is "connection-less"

Re: v6.36.2 [current] is released!

I'm not sure if this was fixed in this release, but here is a (potential) bug I found in 6.36 I've noticed a problem with the RB2011 series routers. I offer a hosted VoIP solution to my customers. All my customers have a Mikrotik router and cisco phones in their LAN I vlan and prioritize all phones ...

Re: RB2011 poor performance with newer firmwares

I had the same problem after a routerOS update.
Turns out I forgot to upgrade my RouterBoard firmware.
System - RouterBoard - Firmware
make sure your " current firmware" = the upgrade firmware.

Re: v6.28 will be released this week!

I just downloaded new winbox. When I double click saved router winbox crashes. :(
I had the same problem, you need to clear your winbox cache manually from your user folder. Make sure you export your saved sessions because when you manually clear your cache all saved sessions will be deleted too

Re: Port Forwarding not working

Joey, I'm having the same problem, with the same model mikrotik. I hope you can help. I cant get a simple port forward to work, and I've been using mikrotik routers for years!!! this is such a simple thing, its embarrassing to say... here is my NAT config. chain=srcnat action=masquerade to-addresses...

Re: Port Forwarding Not working ... Confused

I'm having the same issue, It's almost embarrassing to admit. Ever since I upgraded my mikrotiks to v6.20 simple port forwarding doesn't work. I tried sniffing, inbound and outbound. traffic comes and goes, I can not capture packets on the WAN so I cant tell you if NAT is actually translating the so...

I think I might have a defective unit, how can I verify this? did anyone get verification from Mikrotik that their unit was defective? or did you have to find out the hard way..... Like I think I am..

Re: RB2011UAS (v.6.4 - rb3.08) & CRC ERROR

I am also having some really odd problems. I installed my Mikrotik RB2011UAS-RM and non of the IP filters that use the chain "forward" work at all, nothing even shows up with logging all forwarded traffic, HOWEVER!!! traffic does pass to all servers behind the mikrotik. So traffic is getting to the ...

Re: stacking RB1100AHX2 routers?

It doesn't make logical sense to "stack" a mikrotik running routerOS, you should see if switchOS has this feature as its a true switch OS. I haven't been able to find anything either....

firewall filter and bridge filter not working

My setup is NOT using NAT. I have real public IP's on my network of server and my mikrotik is sitting between my uplink and servers. everything is in one /28 subnet, I'm not doing any routing. To get to my servers from the internet, traffic physically flows through my mikrotik to the servers. Very s...
