Re: ip route cache BUG

It looks like this issue is still evident in 6.12. I had hoped with the changelog noting: *) l2tp - fixed "no buffer space available" problem; That this issue might be resolved for tunnels in general, but it appears the issue is still around on devices using IPIP / IPsec tunnels. Mikrotik: PLEASE PL...

Re: ip route cache BUG

Yes, the issue is still very evident. We've got most of our network running 6.7 and it does still occur. We believe we've narrowed down the issue in our case to IPIP tunnels. We have a large number of devices that don't run IPIP tunnels, but do run dynamic protocols like OSPF and have not seen this ...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

I got some progress! I forced the issue by adding a firewall rule that dropped the packet advertising the /64, so even though the /60 had a lower priority, it had no other options. /ipv6 firewall filter add chain=input action=drop protocol=udp dst-address=<YOUR PUBLIC INTERFACE LINK-LOCAL ADDRESS> i...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

I also did some testing with the sniffer. From what I see, if you have a lease, but release, and the router tries to renew, Comcast sends two advertisements back, the /60 you asked for, and your existing lease, in my case, a /64. What it does is set preference for the leases, the /60 you asked for h...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

Interesting. I actually was thinking about running a sniffer on it to see. The guy @ comcast I'm working with indicates their systems should accept a release, specifically I'll quote him as saying, "I can delete that PD for you, your client isn’t doing a full release\renew.. I see this a lot..", so ...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

I have considered that, but frankly disabling IPv6 till the lease expires is a sorry excuse for a workaround to the router not releasing the lease properly. I expect the person I'm working with will be able to get it taken care of sometime tomorrow, and if not I'll try disabling IPv6.

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

It looks like the /ipv6 dhcp-client release option doesn't fully release the addresses as far as the server is concerned. I'm working with my ISP to get them to manually release my /64 and see if the prefix-hint works to request a /60. Will update when that's done.

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

It seems that prefix-hint has been silently added sometime since 6.4 (the latest version when I originally made the topic), I don't see it in the changelogs. Anyway, I will try upgrading my router to 6.7 and see if that works. I'd also note that prefix-hint isn't in the wiki documentation yet. http:...

Re: ip route cache BUG

We've now confirmed this in RouterOS 6.6, as we upgraded one of the routers from 6.4. I've also manged to get a supout file and will be emailing it to support. Re: ip route cache BUG

In my case, we are not presently using BGP or IPv6, we are however using OSPF over a number of wireless links, which may cause routes to be changing relatively frequently. We plan to start using BGP soon, and IPv6 may come farther down the road, but for right now, it's v4 only and OSPF.

Re: ip route cache BUG

I'm seeing this as well on a couple of RB2011's. Networking stops working, and if I get in through the console, I see: [user@Router] > /system resource print uptime: 2w10h57m37s version: 6.4 build-time: Sep/12/2013 13:52:41 free-memory: 95.3MiB total-memory: 128.0MiB cpu: MIPS 74Kc V4.12 cpu-count: ...

[FEATURE REQUEST] DHCPv6-PD IA-PD Support

RouterOS v6 does not seem to support specifying the preferred IPv6 prefix size when using the /ipv6 dhcp-client. Please see the RFC3633 specification linked here for specifics on this issue. In summary, I should be able to configure the dhcpv6 client to request a larger prefix, like a /48, a /56, or...
