According to that, it should be fine at 5Gb - It might also be worth setting that link speed manually with CAT5e.

Re: Unstable 10Gbit connection of Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM with Mikrotik S+RJ10 SFP [SOLVED]

I use one ASUS XG-C100C network card in each of two PCs that are connected to Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM (each via Mikrotik S+RJ10 SFP). One PC is very close (2 meter Cat5E cable), the other is far (15 meter Cat5E cable). I get brilliant 10Gbit speed on both links. Everything works fine until I even...

Re: Feature request - DNSCrypt support...

The best reference for the intentions would be the first paragraph of the DNSCrypt website : DNSCrypt is a protocol that authenticates communications between a DNS client and a DNS resolver. It prevents DNS spoofing . It uses cryptographic signatures to verify that responses originate from the chose...

Re: Feature request - DNSCrypt support...

DNSCrypt is not intended to provide privacy, it's intended to help prevent DNS spoofing.

Re: RB1100AHx4 as a proxy server

I haven't tried this myself so my comment is based entirely from what I've read. Please see https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=122323 where pukkita suggests that the Mikrotik transparent proxy cannot do HTTPS man-in-the-middle, which makes it ineffective for services such as YouTube. You mig...

Re: Info: CSS326 and Ubiquiti UF-MM-10G SFP+ module working

The Cisco SFP-10G-SR transceivers are the lowest priced ones that I could find. (Genuine Cisco for ~£20 used on Ebay, or clone for ~£12 here: http://www.fs.com/products/11552.html) I have genuine Cisco ones and haven't received my network cards to fully test with yet, but the switch detects the tran...

Request: IP Firewall Dst-Nat To Address - Aliases or from DHCP

In my IP firewall NAT rules, I have a number of dst-nat entries for the same destination address. (For example opening up TCP 80 and TCP 443 on the same machine) It would be nice if the to addresses field could take an address list, or there was an option to "name" a single IP address. Thi...

Re: Steam "Steamworks" P2P networked games issue

Still having these problems with the latest version. I set a filter rule of accept for the forward chain and setup a dstnat rule with the dest address set to my public IP and the the action set to dst-nat with the to address set to my computer's IP, but this didn't help. In this configuration the na...

Re: Steam "Steamworks" P2P networked games issue

I didn't realise that it required rebooting after disabling service ports.

I've just tried that but sadly it didn't resolve the issue.

Re: Steam "Steamworks" P2P networked games issue

I just tried disabling all filter rules but had no luck. I also tried just disabling the drop filters. That block rule is just for the input chain so that should block connections to the router if they aren't explicitly allowed by the management rules above, or at least that's how I understand it. T...

Re: Steam "Steamworks" P2P networked games issue

I tried it with and without the in interface, but had no luck: /ip firewall nat add action=masquerade chain=srcnat comment="default configuration" out-interface=pppoe_client-wan to-addresses=0.0.0.0 add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat comment=DMZ disabled=yes in-interface=pppoe_client-wan to-a...

Steam "Steamworks" P2P networked games issue

Hello, I have connectivity issues with Steamworks P2P networked games. I can connect to and host servers for normal steam games using conventional port forwarding. (DestNAT rules) I'm using a MikroTik RB2011UiAS-RM router (v3.09) and have even tried forwarding the outbound Steamworks ports listed he...

Re: Line-bonding over 3G connections

That's a good point about his upload bandwidth as I'd forgotten all about that. Currently he only has the 30 meg package so that should be 3 meg upload - Even upgrading to the largest 120 meg package only gives 12 meg upload so that does limit things. I think using his connection will have to just b...

Line-bonding over 3G connections

Hi All, I'm totally new to RouterOS. First of all, a little back story. We have moved into a new house and British Telecoms have been extremely incompetent at setting up a phone line and broadband. After three months we have a phone line but still no broadband. In the mean time we have been using 3G...
