Re: Dt. Telekom VDSL BNG & IPTV (igmp v3)

Did you get this to work? I am in the exact same situation. Speedport -> Routerboard -> Netgear GS108E-100PES -> Receiver.

Telekom did send a new Receiver because they are changing their Infra (used to be a MR303 which is now unusable). This did work very for 4 years.

What other releases did you expect? There have been no other releases! 6.43 for Stable and 6.44beta6 for Testing. I'm on the stable channel because I got automatically inserted into it. Don't you see the flaw? Aren't those releases as well? Or are we Stable and Testing users not special enough, lik...

Re: SNMP bandwidth logging problem with Queue and Child Queue

In hindsight this makes sense, because if the parent queue had a real queue, then it would add it's latency to the child queues, with no real benefit at all, as a "catchall" sibling queue would have the same queuing effect, without the latency (and cpu-processing) getting added. On the other hand, ...

Re: SNMP bandwidth logging problem with Queue and Child Queue

Thanks ZeroByte for your help, you brought me on to the right track. When you set the parent/child relationship, all traffic must first flow through the parent queue before reaching the streaming queue, which is why the parent queue shows all traffic. This is exactly what doesn't seem to be true. As...

SNMP bandwidth logging problem with Queue and Child Queue

I'n not sure if I've hit a bug here, or if I'm missing something. I have one device with an address <IP>. ~~~~~ Mangling ~~~~~ In the postrouting chain of the mangler I have connection marker which checks if that IP matches a Layer7 protocol regex of ".googlevideo.com". If this rule matches, it sets...

Routing through a gateway which is not directly connected to the router.

Hi, I've got the following setup: routing.png So I've got these two networks, which are connected via the orange link, which is an OpenVPN connection across the internet. The orange boxes are the tun0's on the OpenVPN boxes, left is server, right is client connected to server. The lower 192.168.40.0...

Assign IP to specific interface in a bridge vs to the bridge itself.

Hi,

I just wanted to know the following:

If I have eth1 and wlan1 assigned to bridge1, what difference does it make if I assign an IP to eth1 instead of bridge1 or viceversa? I seems to work both ways.

I have the same problem, but in addition I can't add the gateway and NTP server.

This is with Firefox.

Winbox can add all the values.

Re: RouterOS as an OpenVPN client

Just tried installing racoon on the VPS for IPsec connectivity, but it turns out that the kernel doesn't have the necessary modules. Why on earth wouldn't you go that extra step to offer OpenVPN over UDP?

Re: RouterOS as an OpenVPN client

Hi, thanks for your response. I had used the search, but since all the posts where pretty old, I thought there would be any news on it. So, which is the preferred way to go? I'm running a Debian based VPS in the cloud, and want a secure (and reasonably fast) connection with my LAN. OpenVPN is workin...

RouterOS as an OpenVPN client

Hi,

I managed to set up my RouterOS to connect to an OpenVPN server, but i've got a performance issue due to the lack of UDP support by RouterOS.

Is there any information avaliable as to when RouterOS will support UDP?

Thanks, kind regards,
Daniel

Re: v6.20 released!

Had no issues with the upgrade on a 2011UiAS-2HnD. But on a RB450G all but one of the Queue Graphs lost their data (the graph curve started as if it just got set up). The one which didn't lose the data is now showing an erroneous date (Nov/08/2150). The 2011UiAS-2HnD had no Queue Graphs, so I can't ...

Re: v6.11 released

RB450G and 2011UiAS-2HnD upgraded without any problems.

RB450 had to be rebooted again a couple of minutes later, since the cpu was averaging at about 45%, but after the reboot it went down to the usual <7% average.

Re: v6.10 released

Upgraded a RB2011UiAS-2HnD without any problems from 6.9 to 6.10. Upgraded a RB450G with the following problem: upon reboot I had no internet access, I waited for about 2 minutes, tried to log in via web interface, which would not respond, so I rebooted again via serial console. After about a minute...

Re: Serious Upgrade Issue RB450G | OS 5.26 -> 6.9 | FW 3.8->

After noticing a very sluggish performance of the web interface I checked the resources, and cpu was constantly at 100. I then went again to the Routerboard tab, pressed "Upgrade" again (from 3.10 to 3.10) and forgot about it. Later on (maybe a minute later) in a terminal session I was having with t...

Serious Upgrade Issue RB450G | OS 5.26 -> 6.9 | FW 3.8->3.10

TL'DR: Firmare 3.10 reversed the functionality of the reset button. Hi, today I wanted to upgrade my RB450G to v6. It was runing v5.26 with firmware 3.8. I uploaded the file routeros-mipsbe-6.9.npk via the webinterface and rebooted. Firefox wouldn't then get past the "Loading..." page, but Chrome wa...

Thanks for the reply. Inter-VLAN routing speed CRS125-24G-1S-IN

Hi, I recently bought a RB450G and am very pleased with it. Initially I was looking for a CISCO Small Business SRW2024-K9-EU - SG 300-28 - 28-port Gigabit Managed Switch as a center piece for the network, being interested in the L3 routing capability for doing Inter-VLAN routing at wirespeed. But af...

Hello, I'm new here, so first and foremost my greetings to you. I just got a RouterBoard 450G, and I'm hoping to solve an issue I'm having. I've been spending a week now on trying to find a solution, but I'm out of luck. What I want to archieve is the following (image below): On port 4 I have all my...
