Re: CRS125 Configuration Help

After the port flapping fiasco I put all my mikrotik gear on the shelf. I'm assuming that we still aren't close to an implementation of 802.3ad on the CRS. I haven't seen note of 802.3ad in any of the RouterOS release notes. I am fairly disappointed that Mikrotik advertised hardware capable of featu...

Re: 6.6 to 6.7 CRS very slow LAN speed

6.8rc is royally messed up on my CRS125. After the upgrade nothing works and connection to the device is intermittent. If I make any changes to settings on the CRS125 I lose connection and am forced to reset to defaults again to gain access. Hopefully something gets fixed soon because my CSR125 is g...

Re: 6.6 to 6.7 CRS very slow LAN speed

I'm having the exact same issues here. Massive slow down. What is happening is that all switch traffic is being processed by the CPU. So basically nothing is being sent to the switch chip. I've tested this and verified that any traffic on any port that is part of a switch goes first to the CPU. the ...

Re: Switching with RouterOS / CRS Questions

I usually use Cisco, HP L3/L2 Switches and Fortigates. I had many hours to find out how to tag a port or how to get a LACP trunk between two devices. Most of what I tried didn't work. Maybe it's me not clever enough, maybe it's not yet implemented (couldn't believe that the first time I read it) an...

Re: CRS125 Configuration Help

Oh well at least I'm not crazy, although that would have been nice to know a week ago  Thank you for the fast response! :) Is there any ETA on when 802.3ad will be working as it should with the CRS switch chip? I assume that this is a RouterOS wide issue because it is the same implementation ...

Re: CRS125 Configuration Help

Since ethernets are already configured as switch slaves, you cannot use them in bonding anymore. If you want bonding remove them from switch, bond them together and bridge switch master port with bonding interface. Perhaps I'm missing something here. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a wire...

CRS125 Configuration Help

When I read: "fully functional Layer 3 switch" and "full wire speed smart switch" I assumed that I could use the CS125 to link, at full wire speed, via 802.3ad to another device (perhaps an RB951G-2HnD), assuming the linked device supports 802.3ad. I have yet to find a way of doi...

Being huge fan of MT i get almost every MT new product to check it out and to play around. This time i got CSR125 ros6.5, and boy... after spending 5hours trying to acomplish the most generic switching tasks i felt stupid as faq because i failed: 1. didnt find an easy way to assign vlan to a port o...

Re: CRS Switch - How's it coming?

Please look at the block diagram, for more details on how this device is made @ Normis, Thank you. 1) switch-chip hardware features (anyone knows a part number?) - these features will always run on wire-speed. 2) RouterOS v6 software features - these features are limited by CPU performance and conn...

Re: CRS Switch - How's it coming?

Normis , do we have any additional details on the total Switching Capacity on the new CRS125-24G units? By saying "Fully manageable L3 switch, full wire speed switching" it comes across that this thing has 1000*2*25=50Gbps of forwarding performance, which would make it the best priced 25p...

CRS125 Performance Questions

Given that the CRS125 units are using an Atheros AR9344 600 MHz CPU I would suspect that routing performance will be slow, which is understandable. I am more concerned about overall maximum throughput. Is there a block diagram available for this unit yet? What kind of performance should I expect fro...
